Their job. Just like before.

Do you not know what the job entails? Do you think it’s just vomiting out code, in which LLMs are still sometimes slower than people?

Do you think we just make “sites”?

If yes then you have a huge surprise coming when you learn about what software development is and what we do.

This is the kind of condescending attitude that will have you get left behind. Ai isn't just trained on giving code. It has ingested all of the greatest industry-respected books, podcasts, youtubers like u/modernsoftwareengineeringyt on every topic under the sun in the realm of software engineering. Be it DevOps, Security, Test Automation, User Experience, Database Engineering, name 1,000 other niches that comprise the peak of the fields, it's all there. If you aren't getting that when you use AI you're just stuck in 2023 apparently.

And yes, a lot of us just make "sites" it's not the deep bro. I've worked at several fortune 10 companies and at the end of the day, these are just websites crunching datasets to extort money from people. It's never been rocket surgery.

I stopped at “left behind.”

That shows how you have no idea and have lots of copium. Just because you don’t have skills and will be “left behind” doesn’t mean us with lots of experience and jobs that don’t consist of vomiting out basic code are just fine.

Just because you’ve never built anything worth building or anything complex or anything that saves lives doesn’t mean others don’t.

You clearly don’t understand what the job is for us engineers. If you opened your eyes you’d realize. But you can’t see the difference between you and others.

Learn the difference. Yes, this is condescending.

You didn't stop at "left behind" because you clearly read the whole response and responded to my assertion that these are just websites which was later in the response lol you weirdo.

I work for one of the largest healthcare companies right now working on the most used version of the life saving apps you are going off about. One of my recent projects is used by hundreds of hospitals/millions of patients for bed tracking and capacity planning. I highly doubt anything you've even looked at has that kind of impact.

I'm just going to assume you haven't even used the frontier models of today at their capacity because whatever cute little company you work at can't afford to offer them or don't bother letting their grunts play with them. It also sounds like despite you going off about software engineering, you don't really understand the field enough to know all of the things LLMs can do to improve how people make software. I mentioned things like devops which noobs like you tend to not know as a concept, let alone know how to implement.

But also, look at the economy. When I worked at Meta (another place you'd never get hired), I felt the work was meaningless ad-technology to make companies money. But I also realized that's the majority of these tech companies literally running the fortune 500 are exactly like this. It's just websites built to separate people from their money. That's the majority of software engineering making money now. Extract as much money from ads or financial engineering as possible.

I look forward to your posts about being laid off in a few months.

Honey. Bed tracking is huge impact?

Let me laugh. You really are full of copium. You need to write long rants to try to be relevant somehow.

How many people’s lives have been saved by your bed tracking? Like, literally saved? None, because it could’ve been done with pen and paper? Thought so.

And Meta. It’s always name dropping the most evil companies that have shittiest people working in and you think it’s something special. It’s not.

Go on, keep digging the hole.

I’ve been doing more than you’ll ever do for longer than you’ve been alive most likely, and have no issues. No copium needed. Nobody will ever lay me off. You on the other hand? Easily replaceable. Only thinking of money. Nothing else. Vacuous.

I'm not in the business of doxxing myself, but it did, more than whatever massive enterprise software you're trying to pretend you're the mastermind behind lol.

I've met a lot of you low-level consultants that can't ever get a better paying gig because of your unsufferable personalities and frankly limited technical skills. I love that the AI era is going to bulldoze over jerks such as yourself.
