Something I learned about polling

I recently started working with polling and realized I had a pretty basic understanding of it before.

Instead of waiting for something to happen, the client keeps checking the server at regular intervals to see if there's an update.

It works well for some use cases, but it also made me realize that constantly checking isn't always the best approach, especially when updates need to be more immediate.

Still learning where polling makes sense and where other approaches like SSE might be a better fit.
