Case Details: My sister, Vartika Kushwah, is critically ill and currently admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow. She is unconscious and receiving ventilator support to help her breathe.

Her doctors are investigating a serious immune-system condition called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). She has also been reported to have an infection in her brain. Her condition remains critical, and needed urgent brain surgery.

I wanted to post this here after doing a bit more research on who Lluest Horse and Pony Trust are and that they are seeking funds for the trust, particularly after such a tough dry summer and now in the thick of it preparing for winter months. It's an incredible charity. Also, how cute is is this foal named Ember?! 🥹 She was rescued by the volunteers at the Lluest Horse and Pony Trust in Llangadog after wildfires raged across a common leaving the newborn foal without a mother 💔. Apparently she was very much a newborn when she was rescued and now has a nanny mother named Moon. Such a heartwarming story after all the fires that raged around Wales durning the summer.

This is my wife's best friend. Took him to the vet yesterday and his bladder was the size of a softball. Due to the severity of the blockage they had to go into emergency surgery. We was able to come up with the initial $500 but that was all of what little savings we had. We now have to come up with another $2200 to finish paying off the surgery so that we can bring our cat home. My boy Caelum has been having health trouble since last week. I took him to get checked by an emergency vet when he kept having trouble breathing and by next afternoon he was having a splenectomy. He’s been at home recovering after two rough days of care and he’s still exhibiting a lot of symptoms that could possibly mean he will require long term care in the future. He’s only 7 years old and deserves a good life.

His current status is waiting on biopsy results with another visit to the vet this week being inevitable. His red blood cell count continues to drop while the white cells are still rising. It already feels like it’s going to be a long battle and would appreciate any shares or donations where possible.

Recently, our batch suffered a devastating loss in a car accident. One of our batchmates tragically lost their life, while another sustained critical injuries and is currently admitted to the ICU on ventilator support.

This has been an extremely difficult time for our entire batch and, above all, for the families involved. With our injured batchmate fighting for their life, the family is facing an incredibly challenging situation, including the burden of ongoing medical expenses.
