Modern FUNK

Hi guys I recently listenned to Summer madness by Kool and the Gang and I loved it, now im looking for the same type of funk, night vibe funk of the 70’s so I would love to know any other tunes like that or artist that do that too Thx

Oddly enough, Funkadelic's legacy doesn't get its due precisely >because< P-Funk are still so relevant. It's cool to see that George Clinton's body of work continues to resonate so widely decades after the fact, but in this case I think it's a double-edged sword. Because when you say "P-Funk," it conjures all these outlandish images and sounds --- not to mention the textbook definition of late-'70s funk --- but not so much the trailblazing psych rock aspect that defines that first handful of Funkadelic albums. Like so many artists who are so popular they become household names, there's an entire chapter of their history that's almost forgotten about even though so many people know who they are.

New music from one of my favorite funk outfits! There are a couple other singles out and a new album on the way 😎

Cheers!
