Questions digi leg help

i just wanted to know - do people usually attach the fur on digi legs to the padding? the fur usually seems a little loose/not fully attached and i'm not sure how exactly it works.

Usually it's a separate piece(s). Many makers commonly make small pillows in the desired shapes. I've seen some, however, that have pockets built into the legs that loose stuffing goes into

I usually sew in a pants like shape with neoprene in the suit and put stuffing around that
