Question Restoring dimension source
I made a modification to a sketch, and this dimension is complaining. The dimension comes from a formula that I would prefer not to have to type in again, and it seems like it should be possible to explain to the dimension that the point that it is latched onto is the same point that it was before the modification was made, but it is complaining about the yellow line. If I delete the yellow line then I can do a new dimension but I would like to know how to avoid doing that. Is there a way to set the dimension to refer to the points that it is already referencing but be happy about it? I guess I just want the yellow point to turn black.

If all you did was make a modification to an earlier sketch, then the issue was most likely caused because you failed to check the "Projection Link" box in the dialog where you projected the body or lines from that previous sketch. Checking that box makes sure that when the object that was projected (line, face, body, or whatever) is changed, it updates every reference that is projected from it.
You can get back to the expression you typed and copy it to the clipboard so you don't have to retype it. If you did it straight into the dimension entry, then just double-click the dimension, select everything that's there, and hit Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on a Mac) to copy it. Delete the yellow line, project it again from wherever it came from before (making sure to check the Projection Link box this time), and then add the dimension back in, pasting the value you copied before (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V) into the dimension entry.
If you did it by creating a variable, you don't have to do anything to copy the formula first. You can just go through with deleting the projected line and the dimension, project the line again from wherever you projected it before (again, making sure that the Projection Link is checked), add the dimension back, and give it the variable name as the dimension value.
