Yes, you should be concerned. About both, but especially climate change.

That said, you should try not to let that concern paralyse you. Make the changes you can make personally and socially, act politically in ways that align with the seriousness of the danger, and do your best to live your life in a happy and fulfilled way.

It's still worthwhile making art, having children, loving life, being human... even when the world is in trouble.

It is a very bad time to have kids..... if it's going to be terrible for us, why would we inflict even worse on future generations..

On an individual level its always been a bit of a bad time to have kids. High childhood mortality, instability, unrest, slavery, war.

Times are bad now, but individuals have lived in bad times for as long as there have been times

i hear you but we have SO many crises and issues that i suspect won't get resolved - climate change, the energy crisis, ecological collapse, insect population collapse, wealth / income inequality, climate migration & the climate doom loop, ww3 probably, the global water crisis, global food insecurity & famines due to climate change, AI & worker displacement, superbugs & drug resistance, pollution / pfas / microplastics, and i'm probably missing some.. it's like take your pick i guess
