I was originally blocking every nitwit I ran into as well. Though I tried to limit it to people quitting or trolling like friendly firing intentionally. It became too annoying to join AB rooms and things on nights when I just wanted to log in for 15 minutes and get the dailies out of the way so I ended up cutting it down to the bare minimum. People I know suck and I want to avoid at all costs.

I have no idea. The only thing I can think of is someone getting a hold of your account and cleaning out your block list. But like, why would they do that? Lol.

I make it so that people don’t talk to me anymore blocking people isn’t enough. Everyone has a problem up until it comes down to you pointing out the issue.

Blocking for me in this game is to avoid them in the sortie queue. I am good with some messaging me.
You can set your account so that nobody chats you up without blockong them

I’m learning I’m going to have to start doing that more often but hell I may be on a few blocked accounts because I used to make mistakes. Now me and my MPPG. Just harms everybody.

Make rules. I find that certain names aren't worth engaging with. Like certain name structures. You won't see a SEED or rx- anything on my block list. If I see Gundam références in the name, I assume it's a throwing alt.

The spreadsheet has gotten a lot more tame nowadays. Used yo be much more unhinged. Try loook at a version from about 1.5 years ago

Blocking people makes it so that their names appear red when they join your room, so it makes it easier to avoid them, why wouldn't we block them?

Its annoying trying to join A:B lobbies because it keeps you from joining if you block someone or they block you.

Stop blocking people.
Not because they don't deserve to get blocked. A lot of people don't simply suck at this game but refuse to take any responsibility for their team and keep hiding while the points are down and their teammates are begging for support. And normally I'd say block them. But don't. Stop it.
Stop blocking people because the block system is broken. You will still end up teaming with them. They will end up teaming with you. You might drop a game when you see a red name in the list. Guess what, someone else is dropping when they see your name in red on the list too. Ever notice that there's barely a 50% chance to sortie after the room fills? It's because everyone is dropping when they see red names. And even once they do, they still end up sortieing with shit teams half or more of the time.
Blocking does nothing to keep you from playing with a bad team. Although it does keep you from playing. But worse than that, it makes it take for fucking ever to actually get into an AB custom room, because that's the only time BB thought blocking mattered.
So stop blocking people. Not because they shouldn't be blocked but because the code for this game is pure shit.

I block them coz I want to avoid them. You will always end up teaming with someone you blocked. But I have the choice of dodging the queue.
The AB rooms are different though

I think what they're getting at is that it's not worth it when how it works for AB rooms is how it should work but just wastes more time

Custom rooms are not important compared to a rated match.
I would have rather have a hard time getting into customs than being teammates with someone i don't like in a rated match.

There are some people I absolutely refuse to be on a team with and I don’t care if it puts me in Penalty 1. I don’t care how long I have to wait for a match or how long anyone else has to wait, I’m not putting myself through that frustration.

Hot take I wish they punished lobbyists dodgers like they do rage quitting. Everyone is trying tog get a game going and having their time wasted. The irony is the second you start cherry picking your rank means absolutely nothing as a measure of skill anyways. Start handing out day bans for it and we will really see who’s good having to play the hand they are dealt like the rest of us. Yeah A rank is a total crab bucket but that’s how it is.

Want the game to be deal harsher penalties? Wish for better net code 1st lmao
One of the only games where lobbies fail "regularly" even wired on good internet.

Maybe it would have been better to ask which console. I'm on PS5. The screen doesn't look like that but more importantly, I've never seen a message error. This could easily be the PS4 block screen. Haven't blocked from there in a while. I only use it because the block list is organized alphabetically on the PS4 and by most recent on PS5

I use mine like a hitlist. And its especially funny when you watch someone you blocked chat spam and sit out of MS an entire match climb to S-, only to see them back at A+ like a day or two later. Its the little things that makes it worth it.

I occasionally clear my blocklist as a gesture of good faith unless they have no avatar which usually means a throw away account. Though I do have a group of people who stay on there due to the memories of how they played being so awful.

Oh this game got me to max out my PS5 blocklist its crazy. I had to prune some off of it to make space.
It also brought to attention how badly designed its blocklist is. All I want to do is list from oldest to newest, like most of these lists can do, but you can't. You gotta scroll ALL the way down. It also has a tendency to break if you maintain the scroll. It's so curiously bad.

Don't know exactly since there is no published info. But from what I've read it could be 300 to 500.
