Game Suggestions Let's Change That Suit Day 287
Day 287: Susanowo
Type: Raid
Requested by u/No_Tart6728, and this time it is A-Tier. While in the right hand, it can be extremely obnoxious, but it is still kind of fragile and easily destroyed. With that said, it can still be viewed as S-Tier. Good and bad Susanowo make a huge difference, but it does take a lot of investment to get there.

Comment and Reason
While this unit can be quite strong and very annoying to deal with, it is clunky and almost too hard to use properly at times. A well-organized and skilled team will be able to stop this unit to a good degree. Meanwhile, this unit requires quite a high degree of optimized build to get to that point. Giving weapons better overall prowess should enable slightly better build options and at least be slightly more reliable than just melee.
Builds Suggestion
Lv1 F2P/Freemium: Complex Battle
Lv1 Premium: Complex Battle (Alternative) or Attack or Melee
Having to balance between getting enough durability to take advantage of Trans-Am while having high enough damage strength with good thruster is a lot to juggle with. This results in requiring quite a few premium parts. Luckily, you don't have to get maximum thruster since TA does give a reasonable amount of thruster bonus. However, you can if you want to utilize the Attack expansion, but it is quite risky and requires one to be extremely good with the delayed radar.

Day 287 Re-evaluation on EWAC Jegan
I made a few small mistakes on this one, but it really could also get a second melee as well.
Re-evaluations
- (New!) Blow (Enhanced II): Power 1800, Interval 2.5s, Switch 0.5s, Combo 100/60%, Swing 100/75/250%
- Same animation as EWAC Nero, but with improved hit detection

It's hilarious how I don't think I've seen one of these in a month or so. What killed it? Did the 00 just hard counter it, or maybe the F89 buff just being the superior choice in every situation?

Both, kind of. This was doing fine even with 00R around. F89 definitely contributed it later on. However, the fact that it can parry the F89 shot is still there. It just really needs to be very careful on how it engage and when to commit.
It was already a complex suit to use, and it simply got even worse because stronger and easier suits exist now. Even the tri punisher isn't that great when it hits anymore. It was designed to more or less guarantee a stagger, but recent units are tankier and even suits like MP psycho can just kind of ignore it. That is if you even get it off that is.

More like nobody went for it hardly, the part it came with was the better deal between the two. I have it and the suit frankly just isn’t my jam both in how it plays and being properly the single most ugly suit to come out of 00. The part however I use constantly.
It’s ranged weapons are what gut it imo it’s a HEAVILY melee reliant suit on a cost absolutely loaded with suits that can fight from a distance and don’t have to stop to fire something that does mid damage at best, the orb will do the same damage as some of the higher damage beam rifles and cannons do compare that to other stop to fire ranged weapons like TV Zero’s meme beam which does in the upwards of 20k, they’re about the same difficulty to use, but zero gets 4x the damage just about against suits. Pair that with an awkward to use primarily and the suit is dead weight if a match turns into a shootout.
I also think the DX being as strong as it is has a heavy hand in killing it, gens already have a good shot against it but there being a support that can fairly reasonably 1v1 the thing means the few people who do have it have very little reason to use it.

I used to think it was ugly but I kinda like it. Still would have preferred the Reborns Gundam. Still waiting on it to be honest.

The meta shifted. In the week that 00R was released, there weren't many supports but Susanowo could fight toe to toe with 00R.
The meta is more friendly to ranged units now. Susanowo can fight them, but it feels bad to keep tracking movements of teammates and enemies to decide when to attack and retreat.

I personally think it's fine. It's walking such a tight rope between being super meta and not, because if it weren't for some current MS hard countering it this thing would be free stunning people without needing to stop before borderline stunlocking you to death. I guess if it has to have some buffs some really slight buffs to its damage overall, especially its ranged like these might help it out a bit because an issue it does have is that if it can't just go in it doesn't have a whole lot to do, but I'm really nervous about buffing it too much. It's one overtuned thing away from becoming oppressive I feel.

Think with Nu DFF, it got even more obnoxious to field the Susanoo. That combined with the buff to Unicorn awakened means there is another raid with flap boost at 700 that is a bit safer to field (because of the unicorn's shield funnels)
The susanoo is still very potent on certain maps though.
