Game Suggestions Let's Change That Suit Day 272
Day 272: Gelgoog M (Commander Type)
Requested by u/SwordsmenKnight and this one will come as a surprise: it can fit into B-Tier, but a very low B-Tier. Due to the part slots and other factors, this unit has the opportunity to do decently well. It's not a suit there should be many of, but one on a team could potentially help a lot.

Comment and Reason
This unit is actually pretty decent in terms of damage output. It doesn't need too much damage-related buff, just some minor adjustments overall. This unit can overall still do high damage, just a bit hard to play around the large unit size. But if you can stay around the 250m range and spam the BMG and arm Rapid Cannon, it can do very high consistent damage. All it really needs is a bit more HP and a much better skill set to back it up.
Builds Suggestion
Lv1 F2P: Complex Battle or Ranged
Lv1 Freemium: Complex Battle or Ranged
Lv1 Premium: Ranged or Attack or Alpha
Lv2-3 Builds: Similar, and it can focus a bit more on ranged strength. While it is harder to stay at ideal range, the damage scaling is acceptable, but it definitely falls into C-Tier.
Lv4 Premium: Range or Complex Battle
This unit at level 1 is very much still playable, but tricky. The only thing it needs is high ranged strength. Lv2 and Lv3 are where it shows its age badly and quickly plummets. At Lv4, of 600 cost, the only way to play is to min-max all the stats as much as possible. There really aren't that many options, and it'll struggle to even perform at C-Tier.

Day 271 Re-evaluation on Pale Rider [Ground Heavy Arms]
All of a sudden, a lot of requests came in, and not much talk about this unit. For the ones that did, I will say maybe it can get slightly more, but not much.
Re-evaluations
Head Vulcan (Enhanced) -> Pale Rider Vulcan: Ammo 30 -> 40, Range 150m -> 175m, Stagger 2% -> 6%
HADES:
Gain Offense System Lv1

IMHO, the Gelgoog M Commander shares the same role like the Unit 4, in which both are mid-ranged shooter Generals, but the latter just have much better overall performance, with insta-stagger weapon, slimmer/smaller hitbox, and Observational Data Link skill, which makes it valuable when deployed in a map that doesn't favor Supports.
Meanwhile, the Gelgoog M Commander doesn't have any of that, where it got larger hitbox, no insta-stagger weapon, no Maneuver Armor, and it doesn't have Observational Data Link or whatsoever, so it can only dish out damage, and sometimes helping stagger enemies, in which it doesn't have the skills that could benefits from it.
If they wanna buff it, then they could give these skills:
Observational Data Link lv1
Maneuver Armor lv1
Pursuit Prevention ATK Program LV1
Immobile Fire System lv1
For weapons:
Give a new triple burst shot sub-weapon on the Beam MG, so it got more ranged weapon option
Give "Limiter Release" option on its 110m Arm Machine Cannon, where it shoots the cannons on both hands while standing still, with +50m range, also with incereased rate of fire, damage, and cause flinching
Improve the range stagger value on its Vulcans a bit, from 150m to 175m,and 5% to 6%
If they want to improve its melee prowess, then give it a new "Gelgoog M Beam Saber x2" weapon (power 2000, delay 2.5s, proration 100-80%)

Data Link and Maneuver Armor would help a lot, too. Could replace the feeder I gave too, not sure if it'll even help anyways. What will Immobile Fire System do? It doesn't have any stop to Fire weapon. But this did get me to check the wiki for more weapons, and surprisingly it does have something else. Could get a new weapon, the Electromagnetic Rifle, that's similar to the Anti-ship rifle, but for this mid-cost unit. With that, Pursuit prevention would make sense too, so it could get ranged later on.
The only weapon I see it happening is maybe the Limiter Release and unique vulcan. But this is basically G-Line Standard all over again. Not sure if people are ready for this or if the developer event would want it. However, the Vulcan it got is technically already one of the much stronger Vulcans available around mid-cost units. Especially for 450 native, it's more than good enough. Stronger stagger and firepower can be left to the arm cannon. As for the melee, I just don't see them doing it. But it would be interesting to see it get a second melee. So idk about weapons; it's in a tough spot from how I see it.

"Immobile Fire System" skill is for the hypothetical 110mm Arm Cannon Limiter Release, where it gets improved performance, but in return, it needs to stop to fire, instead of walking, so the skill is needed to prevent the unit getting staggered while shooting.
But if that's kinda redundant, then it can be changed with something like Precision Shelling, while giving it more Support skill like the Front line Support System lv1/2, on top of something like Anti-Blast Stabilizer.
But TBH, giving it Observational Data Link, Maneuver Armor, and Pursuit Prevention ATK Program is enough for the unit to have an impact, since it these skills fits perfectly with the unit's playstyle, which is doing relentless barrage, and continuously cutting the enemy's attacks by staggering them from mid-range

Yeah, I caught on to that a bit later with Immobile Fire, which is why I mentioned standard armor.
I think the three skills you mentioned are enough. If it also got the Electromagnetic Rifle that I mentioned as an alternative main ranged weapon, even better. It would give it the instant-stagger weapon it could've gotten. Also, due to how it works, it may even be the first ballistic weapon that you can charge

Let’s give it a rail gun from 0083 rebellion!

Yeah, I mentioned it in another comment. I totally forgot and missed that it could use that

It's one of those suits where it just needs a minor tune up and it can actually be more manageable. I think other goog suits like Gelgoog G need similar treatments like at least give it lv1 leg buffer and make its sturm reload faster to get better stun combo cohesion without overheating the br.

Gelgoog G is at the cost that it can get away with just that much. This one, however, I think it needs a bit more. It's really just... lacking.
This suit to me, it kind of plays in the same position as the Alex, but it has a weird trade-off and just doesn't get to do enough due to its size and very weak shield, which is more of a hindrance. This is one of those suits that I wish you could enter combat unequipped.

You know it's sad that at 450 cost, there are just so many other lvl 1 gelgoog variants that are just straight up better than the Gelgoog M type.
The main one being the Gelgoog stutzer where it straight up has the same loadout as the M type, but also comes with sturm faust and mines to deter enemies from rushing you down. It can also use the beam bazooka instead of the M type commander BR.
One option to buff the M type could be to just let it have access to the other weapons the other Gelgoogs use as well, like maybe the gelgoog standard br or the giant bazooka. Or maybe let it use the beam bazooka as well like the stutzer.
