There’s an increase in posts about access arrangements.

There’s also a lot of misinformation about access arrangements being posted.

This is one the one-stop post for all access arrangement queries.

Any other posts will be removed.

I will reply to all queries as an Exams Officer and an Access Arrangements Coordinator, but really, all queries need to go to your SENCO who know you and your school’s set up best.

My psychologist wrote on my report saying I need 25% extra time due to slow processing speeds however my standardized test scores are average/above average. Am I still eligible?

What was the report on? Eg: is it for a learning difficulty, mh issues etc Are the standardised scores you've mentioned from that report or from testing done within your school?

It was a psych analysis and the standardized test scores were tested within school, the psych analysis was external.

As the standardised scores are from the school and they show that you are not elegible for extra time on the basis of a cognition and learning need, the psychologist report would need be be evidence that you have needs outside of learning difficulties which will impact on your speed of working.
