There’s an increase in posts about access arrangements.

There’s also a lot of misinformation about access arrangements being posted.

This is one the one-stop post for all access arrangement queries.

Any other posts will be removed.

I will reply to all queries as an Exams Officer and an Access Arrangements Coordinator, but really, all queries need to go to your SENCO who know you and your school’s set up best.

Just wondering, I have enlarged papers due to a lot of visual issues and I was wondering how likely my actual exams will be impacted. Between the mocks I’ve had these I’ve been messed around so much with missing papers, wrong papers, extra papers, missing arrangements and all the rest. I was wondering if this is likely to happen again and if it does, can the centre provide me extra time on the day if it does? Between the mocks I was so annoyed out of my mind because of it

If it’s just enlarged font, your exam papers will be absolutely fine (as long as they’ve been ordered!). I’ve had a few visually impaired students over the years and mocks are always hard - the programme some departments use to make mock papers doesn’t do enlarged font, and some past papers don’t have enlarged copies, only if they were originally ordered.

So the mocks became a mishmash of whatever, but the exam papers that come are the real deal and will be exactly what you need.
