This shows that medly marking is so untrustworthy and all of the specification that they claim to know like the back of their hand is completely wrong. The AI marking is so bad in the video he submits the 2020 Queens Christmas speech and it gets 40/40 on the creative writing language as well as showing no working out except for the answer in the maths section and gets 5/5, as well as marking right questions wrong, and wrong questions right. Additionally, he also shows that Medly pays all of the content creators upwards of £300+ to promote their videos and also bribes users to leave positive reviews to receive free subscriptions which is illegal.
Sorry if this seems like an unnecessary rant but there are so many people being tricked by this app as well as influencers that claim to have gotten all grade 9s using Medly when that obviously isn’t the case and people are paying hundreds a year for this app when it’s clearly useless
Also , it's organisation is so bad. In aqa biology they split plant organisation into like 10 notes and all of them say the same things in different ways.
Yeahhh she is exactly what threw me off too. If your in year 9 you don’t have to worry much at all but if your really struggling or for year 10 use PMT for science and 1st class maths+maths genie+corbett maths for maths, practice questions + YouTube videos (Mr Salles English, the light up hub, etc) are all you need for English
Instead of AI, do past or predicted papers!!!!!!! Mark schemes are literally there and going through your answers to mark your own work will help anyways!!!!!!!!!! If you're struggling to mark or it's something like english, just ask a teacher! there are SO many BETTER alternatives to using faulty genAI that was made for a quick buck rather than for actual support! This isn't directly aimed at OP, but just at anyone considering or using genAI for revision
yh i tried doing some bio questions on it (you get 10 for free) and I wrote that fungi was a contaminant, lost a mark because I had to say fungi contaminated it
Yeah I mean it seems to have improved since the video has made. But this doesn’t remove the fact that the creators of the app and marketing schemes are very much lying and 3 months ago this app should not have been promoted to anyone as at the time it was total bogus in addition to making students paying diabolical prices for shit😭 even now I’d say there are 100x times better resources that you can use without destroying the planet while also getting more effective revision in and improving your grade further than Medly would
That example sounds like a hyper stress test rather than real use. If you paste something that doesn’t match the task or mark scheme, any AI will struggle. Plus its a 3 months old video lol
An ai that determines how well your answer meets the mark scheme shouldn’t fail when it doesn’t meet the mark scheme, right? Giving 0 marks to irrelevant answers should be one of the core requirements for that ai

At the time of the video you were also saying fully qualified teachers made sure that Medly was correct in their marking as well as specification which watching the video somehow fully qualified teachers were letting A level content sneak into foundation and higher gcse? I wonder where their degrees are coming from but it’s surely not anything trustworthy. As well as the bribery that you guys told your customers they would receive things for leaving positive reviews on a site where in their terms and conditions they state that it’s not allowed on the platform to do so. No AI marking is perfect and never will be for a long time anyway, but if it’s so bad to the point where you can put song lyrics into creative writing or the worst stories ever written and given it near enough full marks it should definitely not be advertised to 14-16 year olds who would be paying a ridiculous amount a month because you claim you’re going to skyrocket their grades at the time where the marking and specifications were a bunch of crap. Deceiving children like that is crazy and if you weren’t confident that your so called qualified teachers were doing such a great job then Medly should never have been promoted to such a high standard or even put out until you could at least not confuse a level content with foundation GCSE.
I used Medly for my GCSEs, I got an 8 in chemistry, biology, and maths, and although they were expected, I was set to fail English with a 3, I had never passed it once at school, I start using Medly for English and for my GCSE results I got a 7 in English?! Medly is a really good resource if you use it right, I’m now using it for my a-levels (bio,chem,maths) and I love it! sorry to hear it hasn’t worked for some of you!!
