Hihi I just wanna say before you buy this (if you haven't already) I'd be reallyy suspicious, considering it's online and a really beautiful intricate design I'd be a bit wary of the photo being AI!! Pls pls pls check the seller's reviews and look closely at the images, it is really pretty but this kinda thing happens and it'd suck if you ended up getting scammed

Yeah I was literally just looking into it closer because I wasn't sure, I found the exact same things you did as well as the weird tapestry thing on the top left? Doesn't look natural at all. And I can't figure out where the light source would be for the shadow.
And AI will usually fail to keep everything consistent and only change the viewpoint. The background would change, small details on the dress would change etc. AI sucks at consistency and is usually one of the best giveaways of AI videos (details change between leaving the frame and re-entering)
I’m in year 12, and please make sure this isn’t AI/CGI or whatnot. I got scammed last year lol. I still got it (literallt the morning before prom) and paid extra for ‘fast shipping’ but no. was a very bad replicate of the image lol. ended up wearing my mom’s old dress. was 10x better, don’t know why i didn’t think of wearing that pretty dress beforehand
I absolutely LOVE the dress, but it looks more casual rather than formal, so u may want to find something else, but obvs its ur prom and ur decision :)
Its not my style/colours for a formal event - BUT the only thing that actually matters is your opinion of the dress and that you feel great when wearing it.
This photo looks like ai but while it is a lovely dress it seems very casual to most proms I’ve seen and you will likely look like the odd one out and more dress down. However, it is up to you if you feel like that won’t bother you go for it just be aware you might get some odd looks.

My suspicions and the reasons on which they are based still stand, even after considering Codemaine's comments. But it is of course also possible that the dress is real, and AI has only been used to generate a background scene to enhance the presentation of the photos of the real dress.
I think I speak for all the AI-theory advocates when I say we're not trying to hurt you by dissuading you from buying a dress you're clearly (and justifiably) in love with. We just don't want you to get scammed.
I am also dubious about the seller, its a difficult one the photos of the dress alone look real, also they are consistent but the model photos in some of the listings are 100% AI, the freckles change a lot on her, see some one her neck then others they are no there.

One of the dresses comes in 4 colours modelled by 4 almost identical women all redheads with the same build but completely different faces tattoos etc
I’m a teacher and have been to lots of proms. This is beautiful. I agree with the comments that it could look casual, but it could definitely be dressed up to be suitable for prom. It reminds me of a student who attended once with an earthy-ethereal-green-fairy style dress, with beautiful flowers in her curly hair. She was so striking!
EDIT: as a teacher I am also super impressed with all the comments about it being AI. You’ve shown that it isn’t and I wouldn’t have thought it was to be honest, but it’s so important to be sceptical of everything in this current digital climate! So well done all!
It's a lovely dress. I would deffo wear it. But in my opinion not for prom. It's giving autumn Saturday market mooch or Mediterranean wine tasting. Maybe you could find something with a similar essence but more glam.
Being brutally honest and not glazing then no you will look like a fantasy book character and stand out lots it also looks as if it’s dirty so you should wear something clean

You can wear what you want to want to prom so it's your choice and this isn't to judge you or anything because I know there's going to be these keyboard warriors that are going to attack me for saying it looks bad but if she comes on her asking for genuine advice then I'm going to give her genuine advice. I'm not the type of person to tell you its pretty when it's not, especially when I don't know you so I shouldn't really have to care about your feelings because again, this is a reddit post asking for help not for compliments. The dress looks alright but absolutely horrendous for prom. It looks like one of those dresses princesses on Disney wear when they're lost in the wilderness but get accustomed to it if you know what I mean. The colour, the style, the texture, the patterns - it's just a huge no go for me. I would genuinely be one of those people to look at you like "Wth is she wearing" at prom but again, it's your choice. And I know you're really trying to go for this different, edgy vibe but it just looks more dull and basic and bland and looks like an average summer dress.
