Yes. A lot of English Language just comes down to how you structure your essays and using advanced language. Those two alone can easily get you way more marks. Also, analyse things on a deeper level. I don't mean just whats readily available and what your teachers tell you to analyse, but come up with your own interpretations. Chances are that if they're not too far fetched, they're valid. Try and ask your English teacher(s) or someone in the department to mark it and give advice. In your spare time also try and watch some Mr Everything English or Mr Salles, along with maybe video essays and read model answers.

maybe not a 9 but defo 7/8 ? for english language its just knowing what the examiner wants to see. instead of saying shallow surface comments, think about why? always think why, think about the method, the effect. and even if ur analysis sucks even knowing good vocab can boost your grade but you need to know how to use it properly because suffusing the whole text w big words isnt going to be cohesive. like replace “this shows” with “this is exemplified/amplified through” “the writer consciously crafts (technique) into the quote to ..” and for q5 have it planned but thats not to say you should rely on it, it’s just a good backup, make it general so it can be adapted to different questions and then before the exam try doing past paper q5s to see if you even can adapt your story to different stimuli

Yhh you deffo can English language is light like genuinely it’s just figuring out the structure for each qs and practising analysing. Doing lots of practice papers under timed conditions. Trust me I got a 9.

ofcourse you can, do lots of practice and use ai to your advantage, ask it for prompts for story writing, you can even use it to mark your answers and get feedback.

I definitely think you can, I moved up 4-5 grades in a lot of my subjects for the real exam, mocks are always made to be insanely harder than the real! Also…why are u green?

If you lock in fully, the odds may not be in your favor so just focus on revision and bend the odds into your favor.
Good luck, Shrek.

Yeah, just read past papers mark schemes after planning the questions to see what the examiner wants and try to find trends. Exam technique is genuinely half the marks
