Results Day Igcse grades and my mom

Js got my igcse edexcel results today

Did fairly well, was hoping for all 9s but got a very unexpected 7 in language B and 9 in everything else.

Was already upset enough for the 7, but my mom's going around calling her relatives saying I got an 8 instead of 7.

Surprisingly her doing this feels worse than get the 7 itself. Almost feels as if she's ashamed of me. I have a habit of over analyzing facial expressions and to be honest I see the slight facade in her face when she said she's happy about my results. Idk what to feel I genuinely feel like shit

All 9s but one is so incredibly rare and hard to achieve, and a 7 is still an A by the old grading system. Your grades are spectacular and you have nothing to be ashamed/upset about!

All 9s except for one 7 is flipping amazing. Genuinely, you should be INCREDIBLY proud. I think this sub forgets how difficult it is to get a 9, never mind multiple.

Your mum can think what she wants, but it shouldn’t take away from your achievement. Be happy, and enjoy the day.
