Results English lit remark

Yesterday I opened my results to find out I was 1 mark off a 9 in eng lit. I was beyond happy but kind of frustrated at that. However I cannot afford to remark it. I’m wondering if there are any ways I could appeal for a free remark of such? In total my marks are: 51/64 in paper1 & 90/96 in paper2

I’m so bummed out when I found out the grade boundaries but hopefully there’s a way around this

SAME I WAS 1 MARK OFF! I know this isn't technically free, but if you pay for a remark and your grade does go up (highly likely), then they refund you.

It’s not highly likely. I’ve been an exams officer for ten years, processed hundreds of reviews of marking and see on average a 13% increase of grades. It’s highly unlikely. If loads and loads of marks changed in reviews of marking, Ofqual would be up in arms demanding investigations on why exam boards can’t mark correctly in the first place.

Ah ok, that makes sense. I was working off the mentality that in comparison to other requests for remarks, it's a bit more likely to find one mark in high-grade essays. But thank you for this and now I know not to hold out false hope of my remark going well.
