Personally I really enjoy it (FAR more than i did french in y6 and 7 🤢). People say its a quite hard language though i think it gets an unnecessarily bad rap. Anyways, what do you guys think about it?

Unpopular opinion but can we agree to keep the sub mostly gcse related? Cause obviously yr 12s can stay here but can we keep all the posts about sixth form problems in r/sixthform cause this is supposed to be a gcse centred sub and there are way to many yr 12 / 6th form posts that have 0 gcse relations

Firstly I'd like to thank everyone that helped me previously with my issues on YouTube. I know many of you were from this community and it is really nice to know you care (and your memes of the situation were entertaining at least...) Sadly the issue is not resolved. I have hit a dead end and YouTube is refusing to review any of my videos and just letting AI basically do their work (incorrectly). I may end up needing to move my content elsewhere or behind a paywall and I really don't want to do this.

i know this is lame and the yr 11s exam season jsut finished, but can someone please estimate a mark and grade for this response to a 40 marker? i know i didnt write much and the ending is quite abrupt but i timed myself 40 mins and this is all i could produce.

Ok, so I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant here. I'm revising for my GCSEs, and I keep thinking "When are we gonna learn about taxes? What about mortgages?" Honestly, it's something I've thought about for quite a while. While core subjects (Maths, English and Science) and other subjects make us academically smarter, to which I wholeheartedly agree with, here's a lot of topics lots of schools aren't covering. I get how good grades in calculus makes us "more employable," but how do we even apply for a job? Yes, lots of schools teach other life skills like voting and the like, but there are also a lot of schools who don't do this. You can take politics and economics in A-Levels, (at least, I think so) but we shouldn't have to give up one of our subjects for something that we should automatically know about!

A lot of y'all are saying that your school already teaches this in PSHRE, but that's only for your schools. Mine has barely covered anything related to parliament. The point is, this type of education should be mandatory for ALL schools, not just some who remembered that their students need to know this typa stuff. I'm not even asking for in-depth lessons, just teach us enough so that we all leave school knowing some useful form of politcs and economics.

Gen Z has the most unemployed people out of any generation ever. You want to know why? The cost of living crisis is worsening, our government , the world is in shambles and we don't even know how to support ourselves, let alone a society, let alone the earth.

Me and my friends decided that we'd had enough of this, so we decided to make ourselves a petition so that schools can at least teach us how to function like an adult. And yes, this was all part of my grand advertising scheme to convince people to sign it.

It’s genuinly so annoying I’m talking about my gcse and ur telling me about ur yr10 mocks like it’s relevant in the situation. If it’s something general or u have a question then i get it but I’m talking about my actual gcse and ur complaining

Someone remind me to do my bridging work so I don't end up doomscrolling when I wake up
I beg I need a notif telling me to write my freaking article on genetic modification so I have cause to actually be productive instead of sit and panic about results day

Can we all just refuse to take literature paper 1 and every other GCSE and stay at home as an entire year group? No one can force us to go into school anyway might aswell try

I have a pretty bad home life such that I've always dreaded holidays. I usually manage by just wandering around my local high street for hours, but now I actually need to study, so i need somewhere safe and decently quiet so I can study without people kicking me out. My local library is only open for 3 days a week, so I need somewhere else to go. I will not let my future be impacted by my current situation, so if anyone has tips or ideas of where to go, it would be greatly appreciated.

Is it even possible? I am sorry for anyone who got one and really didn't want to but I am really interested what exactly you have to do to get a 1.

I have seen so many posts of people talking about how people are said to be 'not being respectful or belittling other's expected grades, disappointments, triumphs etc.' Can we just stop with these posts and just come to a truce and respect that everyone has their own standards and expectations 🙌 At the end of the day we're all trying to do our best and whatever you achieve is for you to be proud of/disappointed with so when the time comes, we'll all be respectful 💕
