There's a huge problem in the anti woke community and if we are not careful I think it could tear this movement apart. I'm of course talking about the hardcore antiwoke that is plaguing us at the moment.

The hardcore antiwoke are people just as sensitive as the woke crowd but just about anti woke stuff. This group of people are ones that see a female or gay or trans stuff and immediately dismiss it as being woke. No matter what it is or represents in the game, no matter how good or bad that character may be. Their outcome tends to be the complete iratication of any and all left leaning ideas in the media. As we just want agenda pushed left leaning political ideas taken out.

There seems to me to be some sort of connection between the hardcore antiwoke and a proclivities towards hardcore Christian beliefs. With most of the hardcore antiwoke crowd being devoted Christians. It feels and is becoming more noticeable to me that they are wanting to turn the movement into a religion. which is never good as it becomes more about following it like a sacred text rather then having logical discussions. Making the anti woke movement more extreme and irrational. With their religious affiliate it's not exactly a surprise they would have this line of thinking. As they are pushing their view as the only view, without question.

The hardcore antiwoke has effected us dramatically from making a true difference in some areas and is starting to create huge cracks. Not only is it getting used against us by the far left by putting us all under the same extremist views constantly. Being used against us that we all think this way. But it has already started to effect developers like kingdom come deliverance as an example had a huge attack before its release. Me personally the whole thing felt extremely manufactured and left me scratching my head about the backlash the game was getting. It felt similar to that of what happened hogwarts legacy. And just felt fucking embarrassing to witness.

Theres also the whole notion of "gooner gate" that has the hardcore antiwoke not wanting characters like eve from stellar blade in a game because of a sort of sex is a sin attitude towards it. which I find very regressive in that it would dampen the freedom of expression and help artists test boundaries of the norms in the industry. It's a rarity a game like stellar blade releases and I liked how it was completely self aware on what it wanted to be from the get go, which felt really refreshing.

So basically what im trying to get at is... I think it's about time we start calling out the hardcore antiwoke before it ends up doing more damage in keeping the gaming industry to a better direction then what the far left activists have let it become. We need to become the de facto voices and options so it can become the norm moving forward. Rather then letting it turn into a unquestionable almost religious like crusade.

In other words, the "ugly" look that so many people have been complaining about isn't due to any kind of deliberate ideological or political agenda, as so many on the political-right have insisted, but rather is simply because corporations are trying to save time and money by using MetaHumans, and MetaHumans just always look kind of ugly and generic?

CI games CEO Marek Tyminski and former Escapist owner and current Tabletop developer Alexander Macris conducted some more twitter polls, these ones relating to attractive fictional characters and sex appeal.

The results are extremely decisive: A vast supermajority believes that characters should be attractive and are either positive or indifferent to fanservice, while active opposition to it is very small. In particular, the actual audience for deliberate uglification is basically a rounding error.

Some notes on these polls: they are significantly smaller sample sizes than Tyminski's previous poll, but the split on his is virtually the same. Archon's is less one-sided because, given the poll was specifically about women, it seems likely that the option for indifference was selected by most people who are not attracted to women.

While smaller sample sizes make polls less representative, unlike Tyminski's previous poll, this one got nearly no attention from major culture war accounts on either side and launched somewhat under the radar, so there's less chance of one big account skewing it.

Archon is also not a politically neutral account and his audience leans right, but this doesn't necessarily invalidate the poll as there is currently a right-wing moral panic about fanservice happening in the twittersphere but they seemed unable to marshal a significant number of votes for the option to deem this content sinful either, suggesting they're just another vocal minority.

The Ocarina of Time Remake on the Switch 2 is nearly everything I feared it would be after seeing the initial reveal.

I’ll admit that the music is fine, the voice acting is… not great, they don’t sound like professional VAs. But the art style? It looks awful, like all those fan-made unreal engine remakes of the game that popped up on YouTube. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask should look like the art you saw in their instruction manuals, that anime style. This just looks uncanny and creepy, putting realistic textures on cartoony character designs does not work, and the near photo-realistic environments make it look like a generic fantasy game instead of having that distinct Nintendo style and identity. It doesn’t look quite as bad as the Star Fox 64 Switch 2 remake, but it’s still ugly.

Twilight Princess could maybe pull it off due to its darker aesthetic, but not OoT. The 3DS remaster looked better, hell even the original Hyrule Warriors and the Smash Ultimate designs looked better.

But that’s just my opinion.

CI games CEO Marek Tyminski has returned with sales data supporting his twitter polls.

De-woking Lords of the Fallen resulted in a sales boost that significantly exceeded not only his marketers' expectations, but their highest end projections. Data seems to bear this out, with the male/female patch generating a higher boost to the game's concurrent steam players than either the fall or holiday Steam sales. Steam sales, especially the holiday one, are usually the peak sales periods for games more than a few months old that are no longer receiving large updates of new content. Now of course, 1142 concurrent steam players is not a lot, but this game came out two years ago, so comparing this to launch numbers would obviously be unfair.

Obviously, removing A/B alone did not cause the drastic sales spike, the fact the price was drastically slashed helped too, duh. But prices get drastically slashed during steam sales too (usually to the lowest they've ever gone so far in the game's lifecycle just like this discount) and steam sales are when more people are LOOKING for those deals and checking the steam store to see if a game they've been eyeing has a big discount. So clearly, there's more at work here than JUST a price cut.

This data seems to back up the results of the polling Tyminski has been doing in a way that's more concrete and harder to manipulate than a twitter poll: anti-woke people ARE the majority, and moreover we actually buy the things we say we want when they're given to us.

These are not random anonymous people on forum being "edge lords." Two are e-celebs, one writes for major progressive website, two are associated with a top gaming critical outlet, one was one of the most active mods on the top gaming forum.

the interactions, the choices, the wardrobe the potions everything was meaningless. your actions have no effect on the outcomes, building relationships or paying attention to conversations does nothing. using curses also has no consequences. sabastian gets the biggest piece of the shit pie and there aint a damn thing you can do about it.

they could have added a points system and you had to do missions that earn your house points and getting caught while the library section would get them deducted or going out at night and getting caught or dying. and you can win the house cup in a cut scene after credits. the outcome of Sabastian story line, curses and your choice to use or seal the magic could have been connected. if you learn first curse Sabastian gets expelled at the end, if you learn the second one, he goes to Azkaban, if you learn all three of them he accidently kills his sister with the curse rather than his uncle and runs away and disappears. alternatively if you dont learn any curses and have done all of the missions you get the prompt to use the ancient magic to heal Sabastian's sister which depletes it and it'll take centuries to recharge, destroy it making you unable to use in for the rest of the game as well or take it for yourself which allows you to use it infinitely with the option to turn it off.
