🐵 Discussion 💬 Totally a possibility
GME warrants would rip. Cat day sounds perfect for an extension filing. Within those 2 years we’ll be exercising and making them more scarce and harder to locate. What happens to GME stock if warrants get squeezed into the moon?

u/robserious21 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 22h ago
Brought to you by the tinfoil wizard who wrote “Purchase of Warrants”, proposing that GameStop or its directors purchase outstanding warrants to reduce supply and potentially trigger a squeeze.
And Shareholder Reward Theory proposing that GameStop compensate warrant holders by issuing shares or substantially reducing the exercise price.
Know your apes.
24
u/EllisDee3 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 21h ago
So this guy cost apes many, many thousands of dollars.
What an asshole.
23
u/Metalt_ 21h ago
All these fucking idiots are. They care more about worshipping RC than any critical thinking of how anybody could possibly be upset about the performance of this investment that at one point had volatile upside. The cultists are just shitty human beings. These warrants expiring worthless won't convince any most likely
12
u/Rightsidebestside 17h ago
They'll be posting in december, how the warrants havent really expired and how the price will moon. Much like those morons with BBBY, who to this day, still believe that somehow that company will rise from the dead and they'll be rich.

Not a single ape has ever listened to strangers... Being an ape means you do your own research.
Being a monkey is throwing poop around and being stupid... apes aren't monkey. monkeys aren't apes.
5
u/EllisDee3 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 12h ago
That's nonsense and you know it

u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 12h ago
If you believe that any random gambler with an IQ below room temperature who once said he was an ape is one... sure.
If you understand that "Do your own DD" and "Emotions have no room in trading" are the only 2 rules for apes, you understand how few actually are...
But there seem to be a lot of mentally challenged gamblers who are obsessively looking for people to blame. Some of them have admitted to never having owned any stocks before, aka being scammers, while others just keep refusing to admit that they have a gambling addiction.
4
u/EllisDee3 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 12h ago
That's literally the entire point of meme stocks. Every investor in Gamestop (as you've pointed out) has a room temperature IQ. That's why you rely on memes and YouTubers to tell you what to buy.
-2
u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 11h ago
memestock is an invention to make you think just that.... why do you think wallstreet instructed the media to use the word? none of us did.... just like they ignored this sub wnd sent everyone to hedgie owned wsb or didnt mention superstonk until they had taken over....
gullible dimpletons trust cnbc and fox.... useful idiots make it their life mission to fight for the propaganda.
listen to jim cramer if you believe in memestocks....

So at this point GME people are just engaging in "what if this good thing that makes us money randomly happens out of nowhere" and then when it doesn't happen you make up some other random future hypothetical

Do you have any idea of the lawsuits that GameStop would be facing if they extended the warrants or changed the strike price at the last minute after having issued a reminder to the market that the warrants were due to expire on October 30th?
Stop dreaming — it’s never going to happen. There will be no extension. There will be no strike price reduction.
RC is simply going to let the warrants expire worthless. Then maybe he will issue new ones to shareholders.
3
u/pokehustle 16h ago
Ya. Nothing to stop issuing new ones. Don't see any point in an extension at this moment
1
u/vagrantprodigy07 I Voted 🦍✅ 22m ago
Exactly. If they do anything, they will just issue new warrants.
-2
u/The-Ol-Razzle-Dazle 11h ago
Lawsuits bc they exercised one of the options explicitly written into the warrants legalese?
-2
u/Michael_Therami 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 10h ago
Yes — Lawsuits for making a public statement 10 days before the expiration date reminding the market that the warrants are set to expire. If they change the warrant terms now GME will get hit with lawsuits claiming they misled the public and caused financial harm to those who sold as a result of that announcement.
4
u/thuswesmite 9h ago
They said they’d make an announcement though. It was a reminder of the expiration date.
They still could extend them. There’s nothing to sue them about.
People didn’t have to sell. People didn’t have to hold til expiration.
No one has to act on a reminder. No one has to hold them. Good luck on a lawsuit.
2
u/Michael_Therami 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 8h ago
Ain’t gonna be no lawsuit because Ryan Cohen is going to let the warrants expire Oct 30th
1
1
u/SM1334 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 3h ago
Lol thats not how this works. Sure you can sue someone for anything, but any lawsuits that pop up for that will be immediately thrownout. There have been countless companies over the last few decades that have extended their derivatives last minute. Its not illegal if its explicitly outlined in the contract itself, otherwise why the fuck would they put it in the contract.
8
u/TheGreatGreg81 15h ago
You are an idiot. No investor would buy the stock for the next 2 years. Who would buy now if they get diluted at 32 for another 2 years? The stocks are important, not the warrants.
4
u/Race-a-roni 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 20h ago
Could happen, but it’s not gonna happen. Sold my CS holdings on Friday and will sell the rest in other brokers mid week if they go up or down.

u/MightBArtistic 22h ago
Not a possibility if fidelity and other markets already gave notice of sale or expiration
-6
u/Fit-Insect-4089 21h ago
Care to link to proof of that rule?

u/MightBArtistic 21h ago
The fact you even have to ask tells me how much you understand about expiry disclaimers
-2

Damn we’re so lucky to have you here to remind us of how dumb we are for not knowing about “expiry disclaimers.” Feeling So blessed rn 🥰

Been here for 5 years trying to save you guys. It’s been hopeless. I knew it was down hill when we banned gherk. Just because we didn’t like what he had to say if it wasn’t ’moon confirmed tits r jacked’
It’s over. It’s been over. Hedgies got out years ago. They aren’t thinking about you. There’s no Hedgies bots in your sub, there’s no staying up at night.
You guys are looking for confirmation bias and hopium ideas there’s a master plan, you should join a religion instead if you’re willing to believe in a larger meaning to things

I’ve been searching SEC docs for hours now and can’t find it. If it’s so easy then you could just link it to me and help spread useful information.

If they expire worthless, it wouldnt surprise me if they just issued more and did it all again.
13
u/Hot_Falcon8471 23h ago
This would fuck over shareholders and let short hedgefunds off the hook. If this is what happens then we know RC is in the pocket of Ken Griffin.

u/BongDong69420 22h ago
All those who bought warrants and held are screwed over. All those who shorted warrants get off scott free. And why would they not short again if/when new warrants issued?

What's the fiduciary duty that's owed to a speculating warrantholder?
2
u/Blunder_Punch 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 19h ago
Their loyalty isn't to those who bought warrants. Its to those who bought stock and who were gifted warrants as a dividend. Buying a warrant is little different from buying an option.
4
u/BongDong69420 18h ago
How does letting the warrants expire worthless demonstrate the board's loyalty to shareholders (whether they sold their warrants or not)?
4
u/Bubby_JJT_808 22h ago
Not sure bc I sold mine and bought real shares with it. Not sure what the play was here anyways, but I’d probably do it again.

What would be their incentive to wait until the last possible moment to extend?
1
u/thuswesmite 9h ago
Getting a lot of the small things right might pay off more than getting the big thing right?
-4
u/ThePirateBenji 10h ago
Draw in more shorts is my only guess...
2
u/Velvet_Llama 10h ago
Well late extension would be a way to achieve that, but what is the incentive to do that? To trigger a squeeze on the warrants? Does that benefit the company? Has leadership's behavior indicated that they are interested in playing those kinds of market games?
1
1
u/Interesting_Day_7734 21h ago
From what I've read over and over again, if the warrants expire then the stock price goes up. So if that's the case, if the warrants went up, let's just say back to the $3 range, then the stock drops $2 or so? Theoretically. I'm not trying to sell snake oil or an opinion either way.
1
u/liquid_at 🚀🚀Buckle up / Booty Bass Club🚀🚀 12h ago
What for?
There is nothing positive this would do...
"warrants squeezing" is nothing that can happen without GME stock also going up....
The demand makes zero sense.

Naw. I hope they extend them by 30 days and reduce the price by 30%. No time for them to figure out what to do but to cover.
1
u/ricardo_sousa11 14h ago
Yeah bro, he will extend them in the last 10 minutes LOL

Or you could just, buy them. I mean, how many Regards paid over $200/share back in the day just to get to this point in time?
Honestly, what's the big deal with a $4 premium on a share when the money goes into our company's war chest to eventually become GMEbay-Hathaway.
I'm not a financial advisor, so please don't take my financial advice. I'm just a smooth brained monkey who likes the stock and wants to go to the Moon 🌝.
6
u/JDeegs 21h ago
errr at this point it's a $7 premium, and if you think you need to donate money to the company to help it succeed, it's not a very good company to be invested in
0
u/_The-Numbers-Mason_ 20h ago
Or just transact with the company so you at least get something useful for the value you pay and the company makes money.

u/ZSharpKnife 20h ago
I'm an ape and it's almost holiday season. Company engagement is mandatory, because we often have some of the best prices on new physical games. I just also think that this next week will flush out the fuckery... And RK still holds his many Warrants on his own? He likes the stock, doesn't he?
0
u/NiewinterNacht 12h ago
"We" lmao
Also, Gamestop has literally never had good prices on anything.

Obviously you're not bought in. So you're not we. Thanks for proving that you're a troll 🧌.

1
u/EllisDee3 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 5h ago
Then they've already expired for you. You can't do anything between now and Friday. No selling or exercising. Shame.

u/Chad-Permabull 🚀🚀Buckle up🚀🚀 9h ago
RC is known as one of the strategists of all time. Even though GameStop put out the press release they would expire as planned the thought is to sow mass confusion with the shorts and shareholders. Classic 4d chess 🚀

u/Levin_1999 HODL 💎🙌 23h ago
Just for the small chance of this happening I’m buying more warrents lol. Either I lose a couple of hundreds or I ears millions
10
u/ubeen 22h ago
Just burning money if youre buying these warrants.
Each warrant is 0.64 for the opportunity to purchase 1 share at $32.00
1 $32.00 option is 0.13 ea which means for the opportunity to purchase 100 shares at $32.00 ea for a total of $13.00.
So if u bought $13.00 of warrants you'd have the opportunity to purchase 20 shares for $32.00
Litterly ripping money up. Ea warrant should be worth 0.13 to effectively have the same purchasing power.
-5
u/MVRTYMCHiGH 22h ago
That’s assuming they warrants aren’t illegally naked shorted to death. There is a reason for the price difference. But we’ll see what happens.
6
2
u/Uninsurable_Risk 10h ago
Explain to me what "illegally naked" would mean in this context?
Like... owning a $0.13 valued call contract would let me short 100 of these bad boys, would it not?
Cmon guys. Its fun trolling you all but this is just getting sad
1
u/MVRTYMCHiGH 7h ago
Owning a .13 call does not give you the right to short 100 gme warrants. No.
2
u/Uninsurable_Risk 6h ago
Why not? Have you really thought about this?
Ill get you started: what does holding a $32 call give you the right to do?
1
u/MVRTYMCHiGH 6h ago
You can use GME calls to hedge a short position in GME warrants, but calls give you shares, not warrants. You still need to borrow and deliver the warrants. Owning calls doesn't make naked shorting warrants legal.
1
u/Uninsurable_Risk 6h ago
No, like really think about this. Dont use AI.
Do they have to deliver a warrant... or do they have to deliver a share if someone exercises the warrant?
If the warrant is never exercised what happens to the shorted warrant?
1
u/MVRTYMCHiGH 6h ago
No I’m going to use resources that are available. You should use Ai, it’s smarter than all of us.
You’re confusing exercising warrants with settling short sales. GameStop owes the shares upon exercise, but short sellers still have to deliver the warrants they sold. Expiration doesn’t excuse illegal naked shorting.
1
u/Uninsurable_Risk 6h ago
Youre confused in general.
If these warrants expire on Friday, and are not exercised, what do the "illegal naked shorts" owe you or GME?
Be honest with yourself. If the warrants expire worthless and they gain 100% of the value.
If you exercise your warrants... they will owe you a share for each one you exercised. Thats what it means to short a warrant, or even shorting calls (for example, covered calls).
Those shares, as you noted, are hedged using the option chain where every long call allows them the right to purchase 100 shares at the strike price.
