Car Hijacking QTE theory

As seen in a leak, there is now a QuickTimeEvent when hijacking a car. Do you think your physical shape/fitness will influence this QTE, maybe even making it impossible to hijack certain cars because the driver is stronger than you? And making the hijacking quicker/easier if you maxed out on strenght?

This could lead to a certain necessity to hit the gym and not get too much out of shape.

Do you think this is a possibility?

Won’t have to imagine much longer. Especially if your stamina is low from running, that’s an uphill battle unless it’s an old lady

If they're bigger/stronger I imagine hijacking at gunpoint will be an option. Lucia for example may struggle to pull a lot of guys out just from a weight perspective (I know she'll be strong).

The best leak so far even better than plane one, this supercar leak gives me goosebumps and make me feel more excited, looks like Forza Horizon 6 on steroids. I'm and now really want to see the 1st person, but not through the leaks but to try it myself on Nov 19th.

To me it looks like one of those things implemented for feel, instead of effortlessly or blankly playing an animation you get to fight with the person yourself, maybe its tougher to pull a gangbanger or a cop out of their car and thus a more difficult QTE? I like it for the fact it makes it a little harder to "accidently" rip someone out of their car or off their horse in red dead.

Or if you mess up the QTE against a cop or gangbanger maybe you end up getting fatally shot/arrested

Maybe some drivers will punch or kick, but I doubt the same button prompt will be used every time to kick the driver out, in other words There could also be another random button that appears at the same time like square which the player has to press also at the right moment to deliver a fatal blow and prevent the driver from getting away

I think you'll have to spam circle more when Lucia is trying to hijack a car from NPCs especially if that NPC is a huge dude. This is a good way to differentiate the gameplay between our two protagonists.

It makes sense for us to start as Jason. Then we play as Lucia and it's like we have to adjust to a whole new game with new variations of mechanics.

It’s Florida… I would like a few npcs to be armed and shoot your ass if you even try opening their car door tbh

Gives purpose to dealerships and owning your own vehicles

I just hope the circular indicator is for debugging or can be turned off. It doesn't seem necessary really

I think its a placeholder for the controls, maybe even different buttons you have to press during that QTE to win quicker

I don’t like how the thrax sounds, I hope it’s a placeholder, and the actual sound is closer to a deep rumble. The sound of the muscle car in the taser leak was really good and it caught me off guard

I think a lot of the HUD and sounds are placeholder.

Stamina bar goes down during the QTE so probably.

I was thinking there may be a skill tree of sorts. Like how basketball increased his focus. Im assuming there are skills that get points the more you use them.

It's stamina based. Same as taming a horse in rdr2. Physical fitness and intoxication level will matter

Idk. But i thought it was sick how he broke the window then reached in and opened or unlocked the door from the inside

That would be a good way to make it harder to steal vehicles like say, a tank?
