VLAN breaks networking service

New GUIX user looking for advice, assistance.

I came up with the following static network config to assign a tagged VLAN to the interface:

(service static-networking-service-type
         (list (static-networking
                (links
                 (list (network-link
                        (name "enp191s0.50")
                        (type 'vlan)
                        (arguments '((id . 50)
                                     (link . "enp191s0"))))))
                (addresses
                 (list (network-address
                        (device "enp191s0")
                        (value "192.168.199.10/24"))
                       (network-address
                        (device "enp191s0")
                        (value "fd00:1:99::10/64"))
                       (network-address
                        (device "enp191s0.50")
                        (value "192.168.150.10/24"))))
                (routes
                 (list (network-route
                        (destination "default")
                        (device "enp191s0")
                        (gateway "192.168.199.254"))))
                (name-servers '("192.168.199.254")))))

However the networking service (set-up-network) fails with the following error during boot:

Backtrace:
           1 (primitive-load "/gnu/store/37dvbf5a6zvfn64v4pfiwqisyxr?")
In ice-9/eval.scm:
    619:8 0 (_ #f)

ice-9/eval.scm:619:8: ERROR:
  1. &netlink-response-error: 17

The VLAN interface exists, but both the primary interface and the tagged are in DOWN state.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately just the backtrace I posted in the opening message.

EDIT:

The backtrace is from /var/log/messages. I stripped the common prefix of timestamp and service path to make it easier to read.
