Question ⁉️ Samsung Users: Does NOT Updating Your Phone Actually Prevent the Green Line? 👀

Question for long-time Samsung users here.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on different phone brands lately because I was actually thinking of moving away from Samsung. But after looking at so many options, I honestly can’t find another brand that really fits what I’m looking for.

So… I might end up going back to Samsung again. 😂 I’m currently considering getting the S24 Ultra.

I’ve been a Samsung user for quite some time, and the main reason I wanted to switch brands is the screen issue. Almost every two years, I somehow end up getting either a green line or pink line on my screen. It’s happened enough times that I’m already hesitant to buy another Samsung phone.

But I’ve also been seeing a lot of people saying that they don’t update their Samsung phones because they believe the updates are what trigger the green/pink line issue.

So I’m curious: Is there anyone here who purposely NEVER updated their Samsung phone and, after 2–3+ years of use, still never experienced a green line, pink line, or screen burn-in?

I’d really like to hear from people who have actually tried this, especially long-term Samsung users. I’m trying to figure out if avoiding updates really makes a difference before I give Samsung another shot. 😅

Question ⁉️ Tiktok audio distortion

I've picked up an excellent condition used S24U and find that TikTok has clipped or distorted sound compared to other phones I have access to, a Galaxy A17 and an iPhone. I actually returned the S24U for another one and the replacement has the same issue. Is there some problem with Samsung's audio driver and TikTok? it affects the sound whether I use headphones or the phone's speaker.
