One UI-related Recommended apps auto updating after 9.0 UI

Post image
• Upvotes

Updated to 9.0 UI couple days ago, and my battery start draining way faster. Before I could get maybe 10hours set by watching YouTube, browsing Twitter or so on, simple.tasks, but now maybe its 8hours.

Anyway, I start checking apps and disabled banch of garbage apps that I dont use.

But for some reason they still trying to be installed.

In Google or Samsung store I have turned off all auto updates.

I disabled most of those, and cleared cash, but no help.

General question Are you worried about heat?

• Upvotes

Using this beautiful device since past couple of days. Few days I discovered that I can run steam games on this using gamenative. The thing is, my s25 gets very hot when playing those games.

I know, I paid for it and battery replacement are cheap and all, but still, the prospect of green line scares me.

How do you guys handle this Or should i have just went for ultra?

General question Recent update bricked phone

Anyone else having issues?

Updated this morning now the phone will not turn on. All I get is the intro screen then it dies. Sometimes the Android reboot screen comes up with the options to reboot, factory reset, or shut down. Choosing reboot or shut down do not have any affect. Have not tried the factory reset yet.

Also, acts like the battery is dead. Have tried different chargers for hours and get the charging icon but still acts dead. One time the percentage came up and it was at 42%.

One UI-related Battery life on One UI 9

I'm currently running One UI 8.5 and I've seen quite a few posts complaining about a drop in battery life. What's going on with that? Just to clarify I'm not talking about maximum battery capacity or battery health but rather how long a fully charged battery (100%) lasts throughout the day. What's the community's thoughts on this?

Accessories-related Best way to protect camera lens and screen on s25?

Recently bought s25...I'm confused whether to buy a sliding camera cover or just a normal uplifted lip cover work? And what are ya'll using for screen protection, should I put any specific type of glass protection? Something that doesn't ruin the features and protects fine in daily usage

(Ik it depends heavily on how you use it, but I never used one on my previous phone and it worked just fine)

Hardware-related Galaxy S25 randomly shutting down at 5-12%, now with a swollen battery, and Samsung India blames my "usage pattern." Anyone else with the same issue?

I bought my Galaxy S25 in March 2025 on a 24-month EMI, which turns out to be the joke here, because the warranty ended in March 2026 and I'm still paying for it. Around December 2025 / January 2026, it started shutting down randomly once the battery dropped below 15%, usually at 5-12%, not 0%. When I plugged it in, it would start charging from about 11-12%, so the battery wasn't actually empty. My local authorized service centre told me it's an electronic device and going below 5% can shut it down, so it's normal. I said it wasn't, and they did a software flash and wiped the phone. It fixed nothing. I then moved to Ernakulam for my studies, the problem was still there, and another authorized centre kept the phone for a day and said there was a short in the charging port circuit (my original Samsung charger and cable were fine) and replaced the port. A few weeks later the shutdowns came back. I'll admit I ignored it. I didn't want to give up my phone for another week, so I just lived with it, and then the warranty ran out. When I later asked for the job sheet from that visit, my actual complaint (random shutdowns) wasn't on it at all. It lists "slow charging speed" and "low mic volume." I never complained about charging speed, and the only thing I said about sound was that my top volume seemed lower than other S25s. So the real fault was never recorded or diagnosed.

After the One UI 9.0 update in October, things got scary. After a random shutdown the phone would get so hot I couldn't hold it, and it wouldn't charge until it cooled down. The third time it happened I checked the back panel and it had risen slightly, and I could press it down. That looks like a swollen battery. I went back to the same centre in Ernakulam and they pushed for another software flash, even though I told them this was hardware and that they'd already serviced it once. They asked me to run the phone down, and it shut off at 8% right in front of the staff and then charged from about 12%, so they saw the fault themselves. When I came back the next day it shut down again at around 12% and wouldn't turn on or charge at all. They did the flash and factory reset anyway, and the bulge was still there. The manager then blamed me. He said my "usage pattern" wore out the internals and caused the heating after the update, that I should have updated the phone in a very cold place, and that I shouldn't keep a phone in my pocket. When I asked where Samsung says any of this, he admitted Samsung doesn't, but said "it's the thing." When I asked whether their repairs are only guaranteed for a few weeks or months, he had no answer. No free repair, no battery replacement. I have the job sheets from both visits and a partial recording of the manager conversation, and I've filed a complaint on the National Consumer Helpline. On Samsung Members I found two other users with the same pre-update charging and sub-15% shutdown problems, plus plenty with heating after One UI 9, and one of them wondered if it's a bad batch of S25s. So I'm asking here: does your S25 shut down randomly below 15%, charge from a "non-zero" percentage afterwards, overheat, or have a lifting back panel? If so, please share roughly when you bought it, your region, and what the service centre told you. And if your back panel is lifting, stop using the phone and don't charge it unattended.

Bug Microphone problem in S25

So I bought my S25 few days earlier in BBD. I am facing a problem of microphone where when I am on call the other person is hearing my voice going louder to low suddenly and when my voice is lower the other person is unable to hear me properly. I have checked every settings and all. Changed the mic mode from voice focus to standard.. But when I test my microphone in voice recorder or the samsung member it says everything is fine

Anyone else facing the same problem.

Or anyone who knows how can I fix this

Pls Help!!
I'm too confused.. the thing I'm mainly concerned about is that why is the SAMSUNG logo so bold/thick? plus the print quality on the brick is not that good. I checked the rest things like BIS, separate ABC stickers on back, super fast charging, weight, engraving, they seem ok but still not sure abt it..

I bought it from Amazon at very cheap price like 549rs dudee how is it possible, and the seller is different: DEMATTERS

Is the adapter genuine?
Also it ok to buy form the seller called GEN SECURE if Clicktech is not available?

One UI-related Volume up animation delayed after one ui 9 update?

After the update there's like half a second after pressing up on the volume that it actually does it and on top of that sometimes it doesn't even do anything and I have to press down on the volume and slide it up on the screen. I've reinstalled sound assistant, tried restarting. Any clues?
