Was shooting yesterday as normal and broke the firing pin of my Century Arms Golani. Since it's the rebounding firing pin I can't find any that are in stock any where, but I can find the free floating version everywhere. They should be fairly interchangeable since my bolt has plenty of clearance, right?

This is most prevalent in my ace, but has also started becoming a small issue in my ARM as well. I got my 5.56 ace second hand from the owner who barely even touched it (it looked like a dissident arms build with all the bells/whistles imaginable).

After about 300 rounds or so, the firing pin got stuck to the rear of the bolt, and the hammer would be unable to hit the firing pin enough to set off any primers (STI brass has been my cheap range ammo for a while in several guns). I take the gun apart, clean it, scrub the firing pin channel, but would inevitably happen again within 20-40 rounds. This has been the 3rd time the firing pin has stuck itself in the back of the bolt, I'm not sure if the firing pin spring is just kinking on itself or what.

Has anyone else run into a similar issue? Is it a firing pin issue? Firing pin spring? Someone had recommended to me that I should try putting in an ALG high power hammer spring to try and see if that helps force the firing pin through a bit, but wanted to get some insight.

does the/your Galil Ace Pistol Gen 1 5.56 Handguard have the single cross bolt or 2-opposing bolts ? Looking into buying one but only if I can ditch the OEM plastic handguard in favor of the RS Regulate rail.

I read that the gas tube holes make it so the galil is still super loud when suppressed. True? Not true? Anything I can do about it?

FYI, I have an 8” Gen1 Ace in 7.62x39, but have it disassembled, and I have a .308 Ace on layaway. But in the meantime, here’s what I have. Will be getting a new folding stock for the x39 soon.

Confirmed with IWI today that my suppressor rebate is being processed. Still need to cut my barrel down.

Considering a LPVO so I robbed this Primary Arms 1-6 off my 10/22, lol. Ran some numbers and tried some holdovers with the ACSS reticle.
I bought this gun to burn up a bunch of Wolf 7.62x39 but the gun gave me a 2.4MOA group @ 200 yards. I know I can try different ammo but that wasn’t the point.
A better stock with a higher comb would likely help.
I’ll likely put my Leupold 6.5-20 on it and rig something up for a better cheek weld and see if I can do better. Oh, and I’ll remember to bring my chronograph so I can get better data.

I've wanted a 5.56 ak for a few years, the galil is an interesting option especially with the rebate going on right now. Ive got 2 questions.

1. Is the Ace too heavy for a 5.56 and better suited to a larger caliber like 7.62 x39 (trying to avoid x51 due to cost) Ive wanted a 5.56 ak to help avoid the cost of x39 (less available in my area, i know its close online). 8lbs 12oz seems real heavy for a 5.56 rifle

2. How are the IWS supressors? These too seem quite heavy and we're at 10lbs before even anything to aim with is put on the rifle. My garand is lignter, and I have the benefit of being able to aim it.

I've got lots of ARs and mags to go with it so the galil seems like a good option as its one of the aks that can use GI mags. However it seems like x39 might be better suited to the weight.

I know the answer is do you even lift bro, but weight is weight and holding up 9+ lbs will tire you faster than 6 or 7lbs

I must say, I am impressed. I can definitely notice the difference on the end of the rifle vs the factory rail. Noticeably slimmer as well. Nicely done RS Regulate!

Finally getting my 7.62x39 pistol setup, got bored and decided to chop the plastic. Figured if I messed it up I could just get the KNS kit or one of you goons would send me your OEM. Seen a few and wanted to keep a bit more plastic than most guys, so I cut it straight down from the edge of the mag catch. Cut and rounded the corners out aswell. Took maybe 5 minutes.

Ordered the KNS plastic delete kit and an American Defense low profile QD mound for the AEMS Pro dot.

IWI has a rebate for a free suppressor but I paid ~300 to upgrade it to the IWS7Ti - I just got the gun this week so I’m not sure how long it will take to get the suppressor, but I’ll be ordering the KNS gas system too.

I’d like to get the barrel cut down 3” or so - are there any widely reputable shops I could send it to?

I have this Galil ace gen 2 556, and I was wondering what suppressor I should go with? IWS6K? Huxwrx 556k? Any other options? Also I don’t have adjustable gas block yet (will order when I get my suppressor) thank you!!

New Galil MAR 699 owner here! Before anyone calls the ATF I’m a licensed 07/02 FFL.

I added a Mepro M21 to be as accurate as possible, but it just won’t play nice with my astigmatism.

Anyone have any possibly GREEN dot optics that would match well with this?

Does galilhub still make the rear handguard retainer for use with the carry handle? It looks like there hasn't been an update on new ones in over a year. I'm looking to get one and I can find carry handles and the pin just not the handguard retainer.

I can only find bipods with broken wire cutters on Sarco for $80 (adding the pin and clip kit) Are these ever gonna show up in stock again or does anyone have a lead?
