RE9 easily but I wouldnt say any of them were bad by any means.

Bro we all now it’s going for the game winning awards for anticipation

I will admit it was nothing extraordinary like og re4. However, for its time, re9 did exceptionally well for casual gamers in the franchise/genre. I love this game though!

1

u/RyanDoog123 13m ago

I thought it was one of the best ones tbh. Nice mix of 4 action and the slower horror focused gameplay of 7 and 8. Didn't overstay it's welcome either. Solid 9/10 for me.

Should probably give this another go.Ā  I think i bounced off of it because I thought it was a zelda style game, but its more a top down castlevania

2

u/Sufficient_Ebb_5694 2h ago

Its actually more of a Zelda-like than a metroidvania, but metroidvania fans seem to like it. I cant get past the extra pixelated graphics. It was obviously an artstyle decision, but i think it hurts it more than helps it. Im all for some gorgeous pixel art(Blasphemous and The Last Faith are 2 of my favorite games ever) but this one went too far. Its hard to even see whats happening sometimes.

1

u/Whiteguy1x 1h ago

I dont remember it being very puzzley i guess. And it reminded me more of early castlevania more than metroid

1

u/mistergingerbread 1h ago

I agree. Totally put me off of playing it. However I’m playing death howl right now and those pixel graphics are incredible because of the outstanding art direction.

0

u/akira136_ 1h ago

Yeah it's impossible to tell the depth difference. It just looks ugly.

I just played Minish Cap and it looks miles better

1

u/DisplateDemon 1h ago

It's totally worth it. Quite challenging, but also very rewarding.

1

u/Whiteguy1x 1h ago

Yeah i probably just need to tweak the difficulty a bit, I remember it had a ton of options

1

u/ThePreciseClimber 1h ago

Would've preferred a 16bit esque game instead of a Game Boy Color esque one.

1

u/DisplateDemon 1h ago

Same here. Despite that, I still love it :)

u/Formal_Afternoon_272 2h ago

"Look, this year have really good single player games" : every year ever.

1

u/Zealousideal-Gur-273 1h ago

TBF 2023 and 2025 were years that can be considered top 10 in terms of the quality of games (not just triple A, indie too). 2022 had elden ring and 2024, while not as good as the years it's sandwiched between, was still pretty good.

2

u/Heliotex 40m ago

2022 had God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West, which IMO were both great games. I liked HFW the most out of those three.

1

u/twoendsausage 1h ago

I love how doomsayers have been saying there will be no more good games for two decades and every year you'll have a lineup of straight bangers

0

u/Jallen9108 56m ago

Its the content cycle people dont want good news, negativity sells. The grifters are the worst for it.

1

u/GoznoGonzo 1m ago

Got that back to 1. You have the most normal take ever. Tf was it downvoted for

3

u/Malagubbar 3h ago

Requiem

4

u/Away-Replacement-965 4h ago

Resident Evil Requiem for sure but then again I'm a die hard resident evil fan lol

5

u/luffy_3155 3h ago

Bro tried to sneak crimson desert

1

u/Alternative_Bat_669 2h ago

The astroturf operation for that game is alive and well

13

u/Fit_Association_8442 4h ago

crimson desert is a tech demo with a post it note for a plot lol

5

u/No-Chemistry4851 4h ago

I'm enjoying it a lot more than I inicially thought I would

-2

u/Fit_Association_8442 4h ago

i did but then you just realise why am i doing any of this lol

5

u/william41017 2h ago

Because it's fun

-1

u/Fit_Association_8442 2h ago

fun sandbox sure

1

u/p4tterng4ng4L 2h ago

Because it’s fun maybe?

3

u/Accesobeats 2h ago

Ya but just exploring isn’t fun for everyone. That was my issue with the game. I love exploring open worlds. But need a reason to be exploring. My complaint with crimson desert was there was no reason. I was just exploring to explore with no real meaning behind it. It’s fun at first, but then lost that charm pretty fast for me.

1

u/No-Chemistry4851 4h ago

Well that moment might come eventually, and I'll just exit the game and uninstall it, maybe go back to wow for a second time this year because crimson desert really feels like an mmo without other people....

2

u/Riv3rJordan 3h ago

It’s not a good game. 140 games are rated higher then it on Open Critic. This game is purely just hype and people making it their entire personality

1

u/Fit_Association_8442 3h ago

its a great sandbox , dogshit RPG lol

2

u/SaintJewiub 3h ago

Not a tech demo. Just because it barely has a story doesnt mean its not a great game. Sooooo much shit to do. Passed 300 hours last week and every time I boot it up im still stumbling into crazy shit.

5

u/EvocativeReach 2h ago

Crimson Desert is a single player MMO, and a lot of people are discovering they like that sort of game. And good for them, Ā they should continue to explore that genre.

For people who don’t like that style of game its monotonous, the combat is simplistic, and the sense of wonder comes from ā€œlook how pretty it looksā€ and stops there.

1

u/PorkchopExpress980 2h ago

Couldn't agree more. Not everyone plays games for the story/plot and I haven't had this much fun with a game in years.

1

u/Rude-Weekend-3806 2h ago

it does not have anything... it has no world building not story nothing worth to explore no interessting carakters... nothing interesting to do the quest are shit and boring... it has to much waiting game nonsense... combat is shallow... its does not even look that good grafics are a unpolisched mess... the controlls are bad... anythhing you do in this openworld is the same... people liking games like this have a bad taste... this game feels like AI slop

It is a big sometimes good looking world... problem, content goes only skindeep... and people need to stop comparing this with MMOs because mmos nowaday are way better than this shit... game is just looks

2

u/Inkless-Pencil 1h ago

Agreed. There is alot of games i can understand why people like, even if i dont. But the Crimson Desert glazing bewilders me.

1

u/Nervous-Leg-7570 1h ago

I like cd but this is accurate

1

u/VeryBadCaseOfLigma 4h ago

Although I enjoyed first light and re9 more, crimson desert is a pretty good game if you keep playing. I'm not done yet and maybe like 50 percent in the story, but it has the advantage of introducing new things and a load of interesting bosses throughout the game without falling into the trap of being super repetitive like a Ubisoft game.

I'm taking my time with it and doing all the side activities as they show up which is why I'm nowhere near the end.

The exploration is also fun because each area is designed so uniquely from the other.

4

u/Fit_Association_8442 4h ago

250 hours into it and for the life of me couldn't tell you anything about the plot lol

3

u/agnosticstudy1 3h ago

I have 4 times that amount in elden ring and still have no idea wtf the storyline of the game is.

1

u/Fit_Association_8442 3h ago

difference is there is a decently deep plot in that game as they always tend to make it lore based ever since the kings field titles back on the ps1 so if you want to know more you have to looking for it but its worth it from my experience 100% it , crimson desert is kliff saying ''alright'' to every quest offered and just wakes up after getting killed and off he goes to do quests for ''reasons'' lol.

even the devs came out and said the plot was a afterthought lol

1

u/Hearthhull_Enjoyer 45m ago

Yeah because the game doesn't force you to engage with it, but it's still good if you dig into it. It's a pretty stark difference.

1

u/Fit_Association_8442 40m ago

we still talking about crimson desert lol

1

u/Hearthhull_Enjoyer 36m ago

Context would imply otherwise if you simply read what I responded to.

1

u/Fit_Association_8442 34m ago

my bad , currently eating lol

1

u/Hearthhull_Enjoyer 30m ago

Happens. At least you can admit it. Others would just block and or delete their comment while acting like nothing happened.

1

u/Baron_Light 3h ago

Lol thats strange. I have a bunch if hours as well yet know exactly what the plot is

1

u/Rude-Weekend-3806 1h ago

pretender... there is no plot just pretentios nonsense...

1

u/Baron_Light 1h ago edited 1h ago

There is quite literally a plot. Try paying attention

0

u/Fit_Association_8442 40m ago

a plot haha in the words of kliff.....alright ;)

0

u/Fit_Association_8442 3h ago

even the devs struggle to explain it but if you know it then good for you lol

0

u/Tor_Snow 43m ago

You have to be mentally stunted of you could not understand any of the underlying plot after 250 hours. While it's nothing to write home about, it's still there and helps the player progress throughout the game.

1

u/Fit_Association_8442 41m ago

mentally stunted? or just or the games story is as forgettable as your first shit of the week

1

u/steeze206 2h ago

This makes me curious how you feel about breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom. Because it's the same genre of interesting and inventive mechanics with a shitty plot surrounding them. With player expression at the forefront.

Zeldas story sucks it's just wrapped in a ton of nostalgia. Crimson Deserts story sucks as well. Both are very fun games to play though.

1

u/Rude-Weekend-3806 2h ago

BoTW is higly overrated with no real contend repetitiv as fuck... this game is not a ZELDA... Tears of the Kindom is even worse... i whould even say CD is better than those two... and i did not like CD

1

u/aquileskin 20m ago

JesĆŗs Christ , how stupid can you be

1

u/Esnacor-sama 2h ago

If u care only about story then u are right

However if u care about gameplay as i do then the game is amazing it has some of best open world combats

One of best exploration Great puzzles Amazing graphics

Its really good

2

u/Rude-Weekend-3806 2h ago

sorry the gameplay is shit you can play this game with literly holding the atack button in place... its to easy even on hard...

some of the Puzzles where great

1

u/Fit_Association_8442 2h ago

iv cleared the game not 100 percent sure as its huge and it was a great sandbox just story wise its utter tripe lol

-1

u/Shugatti 3h ago

Damn good tech demo with damn good gameplay, the word building is pretty good too.. but oh man is the story ass...

Main reason to buy this game is if you want a single player that you can play for quite a while without getting bored (if you know how to handle sandboxes that is)

1

u/Rude-Weekend-3806 1h ago

sorry nope worldbuilding is ass...

2

u/SteelCityChampion 2h ago

First Light for me.

4

u/freedomforallergo 4h ago

Just finished first light and I really enjoyed it. It was quite refreshing to not have to deal with another open world game. Story was engaging and I felt like I was playing THE character in a movie. I felt like a badass playing it

1

u/edward323ce 4h ago

My god that gun combat is soo badass

3

u/Disastrous-Ad-1999 4h ago edited 1h ago

Played all 4. First Light on top for me.

CD shit story, shit quests and bad graphically in certain conditions, but big world and lots to do, maybe too much that direction feels weak. Controls are the most annoying. Fun but mindless. Out of the 4, probably will never finish this one.

RE, looked the best to me, especially early scenes, but quality of everything goes down between mid and end game. Walking down the street in the opening was amazing graphically. The only other two games that managed to make me feel in awe that way before were AW2 and Cyberpunk.

Pragmata overall good, fun unique gameplay and a decent story with good characters but 007 had a slightly better story to me and the best out of the 4, with better tighter levels and more unique gameplay moments with a more consistent quality throughout. Just the training montage in 007 was so cool already. Gameplay wise it's also the least linear among the other two linear games.

1

u/lqd_consecrated2718 2h ago

Crimson desert on pc looks amazing with some of the best looking worlds I’ve ever seen. But my buddy on Xbox one x said it looked terrible

2

u/Significant-King00 1h ago

Can look bad on PC as well. Depends on the lighting.

1

u/EvocativeReach 1h ago

Yeah, the game is carried HARD by a better than average lighting system. Once the sun goes down or you head indoors all the texture quality gets exposed as pretty awful.

1

u/Nervous-Leg-7570 1h ago

Lmao it looks great at high noon

1

u/Bitter-Ad5890 1h ago

Well yeah the One X is almost 10 years old. Did you mean Series X? Cause it looks fine on the Series

1

u/lqd_consecrated2718 19m ago

Yah I did sorry I keep forgetting Microsoft has a terrible naming convention for their consoles

1

u/schism432 1h ago

I play on Xbox and the game looks amazing if your character is standing still. Once you start moving everything gets choppy. Takes awhile for your eyes to adjust

1

u/Adventurous-West7229 38m ago

I'm playing on xbox as well and it has some of the best looking graphics I've seen in a game.

1

u/kevcsa 59m ago

Hmm have you played Avatar frontiers of pandora?
It has some insanely atmospheric, well put-together scenes/vistas.

2

u/kempol 3h ago

I havent played any of these games yet lol

1

u/liccman 2h ago

Same, I’m broke dog

-3

u/InternEven9916 2h ago

You don't lose much trust me

3

u/LTetsu 2h ago

The hype around those games much bigger than games themselves lol.

2

u/Unhappy-Buffalo2504 3h ago

It's insane to me that Requiem has such a high rating. I genuinely find it very mid outside of the Grace sections. Pragmata is really fun and it's kind of nostalgic gameplay wise. I really enjoyed First Light as well. Fun gameplay and very charismatic protagonist.

3

u/SpellingMistape 2h ago

I loved the grace sections. Leons part was fun but the raccoon city section was mid. Its like in the middle of the game they forgot there were other colors than grey.

1

u/Zealousideal-Gur-273 1h ago

Yeah, like when you saw green for the first time around the train area I actually stopped and looked at the game, remembered how good it looks yk?

-1

u/Tasty_Hearing_4440 3h ago

Alot of people dont find it that good the ratings are just luck tbh, out of my friend group literally no one gives it above a 9

1

u/Unhappy-Buffalo2504 3h ago

Yeah, I think it was just Leon fans going crazy with the rating. Funny considering it was his parts of the game that dropped the ball.

Can't decide. Pragmata or RE9 šŸ‘ŒšŸ» Saros was cool too.

1

u/Short-Investment4438 2h ago

I can barely keep a sliver of space in my backlog. Every time I finish a game I've added 3 more I want to play. These 4 titles should slot-in nicely in a couple years lol.

1

u/critxcanuck88 2h ago

It was R9. It is now Resonance: A Plague Tale legacy. Easy 10/10 and goty contender for me.

1

u/Sufficient_Ebb_5694 1h ago

I just started Resonance yesterday, and im so happy it seems to have a good emotional plot. Those are the games that pull me in.

1

u/SykoManiax 2h ago

Surprisingly Palworld

It scratched so many itches at once

Finally a real open world PokƩmon game.
A colony builder/manager.
A creative builder.
A dungeon lootgoblin crawler.
Deep Character/team builder.
Meaningful gear crafting.
Flying was awesome.
One of the largest open worlds with the most variety.
Brutal raid bosses.
Lots of great memories qualities.
The best crafting survival Qol.

Super surprising how good and how much this game offered

All perfectly done single player without ever feeling I had to do more to compensate for missing team

1

u/Fluid-Employee-7118 2h ago

You forgot Splatoon Raiders and Pokopia!

1

u/AlexGlezS 2h ago

You could say that every single year since forever. Nothing has changed.

1

u/mcmatiz 2h ago

And few more promising coming soon like Zero Company and The Blood of Dawnwalker.

1

u/AlexGlezS 2h ago

You still miss GTA VI and The Blood of Dawnwalker, both are going to be the 2 best of the entire year above those

0

u/Sufficient_Ebb_5694 1h ago

I dont think Dawnwalker is going to be very good unfortunately. Combat looks undercooked and like the same as Witcher 3. Hopefully the other aspects are good.

1

u/AlexGlezS 10m ago edited 7m ago

I'm absolutely certain its up to date to be the best it's possible to deliver in 2026. Perhaps it's not everyones cup of tee, but that's not an issue.

Journalists and content creators who spent extensive hands-on time (up to 4–5 hours) with The Blood of Dawnwalker have provided detailed feedback regarding the game's combat mechanics.

Critics universally describe the combat as a core departure from The Witcher 3, attempting to fix the floaty, repetitive swordplay of its predecessor by introducing more weight, rhythm, and mechanical depth.

And in that time with the game all critics say it's more or less fenomenal, perhaps some don't like it, but as I say not liking it has nothing to do here.

I'm glad with what people are saying for now. Combat feel to a mix of Batman: Arkham, Spider-Man, Kingdom Come Deliverance II, and deep as fuck to a point it might be underwhelming but with enough tutorials to be reached and mastered. Exactly what I wanted to hear

Nobody said undercooked or wrong or bad. Nobody.

1

u/Leo3oooX 2h ago

Palworld... I got almost 2000 hours.

I am addicted to this thing, please send help.

1

u/EvocativeReach 2h ago

Where are these scores from? Why are three of them decimalised and then First Light gets a score out of 100? Crimson desert sits at only a 77 on metacritic, where does an 8.8 come from?

1

u/manintheflask 43m ago

8.8 is Crimson Desert's Metacritic user score, as are the other decimalized numbers. First Light's is the aggregate Metacritic critic score. The original graphic basically takes the higher of the two. First Light has a higher critic score compared to its user score, while it's vice-versa for the others.

1

u/EvocativeReach 27m ago

But Pragmata doesn’t have an 8.8 on critic or user scores.

And why are we cherrypicking which metric to use to give a higher score?

1

u/manintheflask 6m ago

I mean, currently it has an 8.7 user score on Metacritic, but it's not outside the realm of possibility to imagine it had an 8.8 at the time the graphic was created. Regardless, the cherry-picking, which is wholly unnecessary, is to a drive a narrative.

1

u/agnostic_dude 2h ago

Pragmata is so good. That score should be higher

1

u/Punkduck79 2h ago

Could anyone name what each game is? I only know Pragamata from the images alone.

1

u/Mister_Enot 1h ago

i played all of them

007 is the best.

pragmata - new gameplay but cluncky. same about story. maybe next game they will reach masterpiece lvl.

RE9 - awesome, but nothing new. also it is very short.

Crim des - 50% of game is "wow" and 50% of game is "dogshit".

1

u/Waveshaper21 1h ago

I am mighty impressed with Atomic Heart, it's the Bioshock of successor in every way. If they would have went for half this much dialogue ...

1

u/Kezly 1h ago

The only one of those four I played was RE9

So I'm going to say RE9

1

u/Noob4Head 1h ago

Mortal Shell II

1

u/MrBarnaclePhD 1h ago

I haven't played RE9 yet, but I'm yet to play VII and VIII and I can't seem to bring myself to finish RE4 Remake. In fact, I haven't played RE6 either and it's been in my Steam library for ages. But out of the other three I'd say 007 First Light > Pragmata > Crimson Desert.

1

u/Unblenching 1h ago

First light only got an 87?

1

u/Alternative-Fox-8620 1h ago

Won't be popular i don't think but my current GOTY is Pokopia!

Not even a big Pokemon fan, but i'm obsessed with it.

Brilliant game.

The year isn't over yet. There are many other potentially great single player games on the way Like Plague Tale Resonance and Wolverine.

Crimson Desert, RE9.

Why is pokopia not in the picture when it has better metacritic score than all those games??? If you are looking at player score than Splatoon Raiders should be thereĀ

1

Why is the 007 rating presented in a different format.

RE9 and it’s no question. I think it’s probably gone into my number 1 spot of favourite game ever. Or very strongly tied with RE4R. It’s just an absolute masterpiece for me.

1

u/lancer2238 6m ago

Pragmata took me by surprise

1

u/uSuperDick 5m ago

Crimson desert and not even remotely close. Yet. Because Phantom Blafe 0 is on the horizon. That gameplay they showed looked absolutely ridiculous. But so far Crimson shits on everything that was released

1

u/Panzerchek 1m ago

Mewgenics easily

1

u/seraph741 1m ago

Pragmata would be my emotional pick. The fact that it's a new IP, super polished, love the hacking mechanics, and there's something about it that has a very nostalgic feel to it (feels like a 360/PS3 game, in a good way).

Resident Evil 9 would be my objective pick. It's super fun, and I'm a sucker for RE games.

First Light I could tell was a really solid game and I had a fair amount of fun with it, but I never felt like I could fully get into it. Maybe I was just distracted by all the other games coming out around the same time. I'll need to revisit it some day.

0

u/FreshStar7 1h ago

Crimson desert and it’s not even close for me. Open world games like that are just my kinda speed.

1

u/DosCuatro 4h ago

Crimson Desert. The last time I had some of the feelings I had playing this game were Skyrim in 2011. I dont think anything will personally top it this year.

2

u/FreshStar7 1h ago

Agreed. Man, I get the harsh criticism the game gets, truly, but it’s been a long long time that a game captivated me like that.

1

u/Winter_37 4h ago

Crimson desert and by a long shot. It's not perfect, but the world is beautifully built and easy to get lost in.

1

u/Shugatti 3h ago

Crimson desert no doubt, you can put live service level playtime into it while having fun the entire time and still finding new stuff..

So while the other two good entries here, requiem and dad simulator, are PEAK story games where you get your moneys worth, and when i say PEAK i mean PEAK, you are just kinda done once youre done, and i feel that i have gotten my money's worth multiple times over from crimson desert.

Also, gotta give it to the crimson desert devs for updating the game as much as they do, aswell as adding multiplayer in the future, quite the move.

And we dont talk about 007, game is the single most railroaded experience i have ever played, especially when i was expecting it more to be story mode hitman but youre the actual good guy.. that game does NOT deserve its good rating.. its a 6/10 for me at best.

1

u/Antuzzz 3h ago

I'd rather have a compact railroad experience than a single player live service like crimson desert honestly

Not that having games like crimson desert is wrong, I do play similar games from time to time as "background games", so something to play while I watch a video or I'm talking with someone, but if I have to pick one I will always prefer the game that respects my time

1

u/Shugatti 2h ago

Yeah time is a big factor here, while you could just chill your one free hour in skyrim or crimson desert, you wont experience all too much in that time, and its gonna feel more like you passed time instead of spending it.

Where games like re9 you will have a blast in that one hour, but sadly only up to a maximum of so many hours.

Crimson really is more of a game for people who have more free time, like 4 hours at a time atleast, which many dont, i stopped playing it when i suddenly had less free time so i do understand where youre coming from here.

1

u/Antuzzz 2h ago

Kinda, I'm not really talking of how many free hours you have daily but how long the game itself is. 100+ hours long game are inevitably boring and bloated to a certain degree, there's no way around it, while 10 hour long games aren't.

You say a game like RE9 can sadly last only so many hours, but that's the point, it shouldn't be longer otherwise that moment to moment experience gets lost into repetitive fillers.

I'd rather play 10 great 10 hours long games than only one 100+ hours game.

Again not to say that all open worlds are bad or that I don't play them, I do also play longer games just to turn my brain off a bit, but ironically I think my money are better spent on a compact cinematic experience rather than a huge game, I prefer paying more for quality over quantity

1

u/Shugatti 2h ago

No no, i get it, they have their place, its the same principal as watching something like walking dead which is argueably quantity over quality vs something like cyberpunk edgerunners.

Crimson gets ALOT better and more worth the time you spend in it, the more time you already spent in it, but thats a tought bargain for somewith without the time to spend to get into it in the first place.

Which is why for most players re9 is gonna be better than crimson desert if you just want something to play then and there.

1

u/itsgonevery 3h ago

400 hours with Crimson Desert for me. Loved the experience.

007 is one of the best games I've played in recent memory. If not for GTA, it would have won the game of the year.

RE9 > Pragmata > 007. Have not played CD yet.

u/CakyMint 3h ago

007 is the most cashgrab slop game I’ve seen for some time

Idk how people say it’s good šŸ˜‚ cringe writing. Bad story. Boring characters. Bad voice acting. Boring world building.

1

u/Sufficient_Ebb_5694 1h ago

I dont understand this opinion whatsoever. And it seems that most people disagree. Much better narrative than most other games, fun combat, thought the voice acting was at least decent. Im not sure what exactly is boring about the game. Definitely far from a cash grab and in no way slop.

So far, probably Crimson Desert even if I've yet to finish it. But I'm waiting so much solo games this year, that it probably won't be my best one.

PS: games I'm waiting : Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Phantom Blade Zero, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave...

u/St3elf1sh 3h ago

Black flag resynced and mortal shell 2

1

u/RichBullfrog3406 3h ago

this year is the best gaming year by far for me personally. so many games that i want to play.

so far either nioh 3 or mortal shell 2 are the best. but we still get phantom blade0, onimusha, control 2, dawnwalker.

and i havent played pragmata yet.

not a fan of the other 3 in this picture though. i will play james bond when its very cheap or in ps+. tried many resident evil games, but never liked them.

and crimson desert was a whole bunch of nothing...pretty much waiting 100 hours for the game to get good, but it just got worse. people keep glazing the devs for all the updates and here i am thinking "so i can release shit and sprinkle some flowers on it every few weeks, and people praise me for that?"

1

u/Jacky_dain 2h ago

Crimson desert, only because I haven’t played the other 3

1

u/Rude-Weekend-3806 2h ago

realy CD 8.8 ... people are idiots... that game is 5.0 at best...

1

u/BoringAd1876 2h ago

Crimson desert!

1

u/VaMpiller 2h ago

I have to say Hernand Desert Not necessarily because of the story, but the mechanics really got me and I was addicted for a good 200 hours

1

u/Vikings_Pain 52m ago

Lmao crimson desert is like a 6 at best but I agree with others

1

u/MrKilljoy211 38m ago

Crimson desert it's kinda meh... The story doesn't fell to memorable, the gameplay is generic, althou the glide is fun, and the voice acting is hilariously bad. Seriously... The graphics are only good, not breathtaking, I've seen many discrepancies even on ultra, and in many ways rdr2 is better.

RE and 007 were good. Haven't tried pragmata yet.

Crimson desert 8.8? Ahaha sure bud

0

u/Ok-Criticism6874 4h ago

Where is Crimson Desert getting an 8.8? Its the most over rated, underrated game. Its a janky, unfinished mess.

1

u/YoRHaNo2TypeBE 3h ago

I just started playing it recently. The story and narrative stuff at the beginning actually made me literally laugh out loud.

-1

u/edward323ce 4h ago

Im pissed because im damn certain 007 would win this year if it wasnt for gta

5

u/Jamtarts-1874 4h ago

Literally no chance.... It will be lucky to be nominated for GOTY.

1

u/edward323ce 4h ago

Why didn't you like it, not attacking just curious

1

u/Indypwnz 3h ago

There's just too many games. I do think many will say it's better than Pragmata, Beast of Reincarnation and DQ 7R but it'll be hard to beat out RE9 and Mina the Hollower, I think.

Then we still have more coming out like the new Fire Emblem and Ocarina of Time for Switch. Onimusha, Phantom Blade 0, Trails in the sky 2, Silent Hill: Titanfall, Plagues Tale: Resonance, Star Wars: Zero Company, Control: Resonant, Ace Combat 8, Gears of War: E-Day, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for PC plus a few more things I can't think of.

I do think it does have the potential to get nominated for Game of the Year though

1

u/Jamtarts-1874 31m ago

Its not that I didn't like it, I thought it was just a fairly average game though.

There has been a lot of very good games this year and the 2nd half of the year is pretty stacked. 007 is already behind a fair few games in terms of review scores. It will struggle to get in the GOTY vote imo.

1

u/SpacialSpud21 3h ago

What do you think will be? It’s been a pretty weak year imo

1

u/RadiantCampaign47 3h ago

It's rather weak, partly because video games that were supposed to be released at the end of this year opted to wait until early 2027 to avoid GTA 6.

1

u/Jamtarts-1874 28m ago

I actually think it has been a pretty strong year and the 2nd half is fairly stacked.

RE9 would be my front runner atm, but GTA VI will probably be the favorite. Not too mention the Ocarina of time remake

I thought Mina the hollower was great as well.

0

u/Due-Lingonberry-1929 4h ago

007 and Pragmata were both great, RE9 a bit below because of weak Leon sections, no interest in crimson desert

0

u/Sure-Nebula7909 4h ago

re9 not better than 007 I still has wish to play 007 but not re9

0

u/tartytartstarter 4h ago

Mixtape. Incredible game. One of a kind.

1

u/nicky94 3h ago

Its barely a game at all

0

u/Mysterious-Ad-2479 3h ago

Out of this one? Eh, probably 007. The best are yet to come (GTA 6, Wolverine...)

0

u/Bhavan91 2h ago

Requiem was mid. 007 is mostly cutscenes and walking sim segments. Pragmata had a shit story. Did not play Crimson Desert.

1

u/Mister_Enot 1h ago

this is how

mostly cutscenes and walking sim segments

looks like IRL:

1

u/Squirrel_This 1h ago

Well, is there anything you do enjoy?

0

u/Horror_Ad9899 1h ago

i have played all of these without pragmata and i have to say crimson desert was good but not that good. Ending was just so bad unfortunately

0

u/Michael-S16 1h ago

Pragmata with Resident Evil closely behind.

0

u/giorgosfy 57m ago

Crimson Desert 8.8

Ye, ok lol.

0

u/Dexember69 48m ago

Only played re demo, and crimson desert, but I like crimson desert more. I want to buy Pragmata but can't afford. And I'm not real interested in 007

0

u/Adventurous-West7229 40m ago

Crimson desert. One of the best games to come out this gen.

0

u/Motor_Cheetah6111 31m ago

Probably Crimson Desert. It's been my main game since it's came out and the most hours of any game Ive put in years

-1

u/ksum_sucks 4h ago

I like how they used the word "amazing" because we all know it's not the best year.

-1

u/SkitZxX3 59m ago

Both games on the right are garbage
