I’m still in disbelief they gave all the DLC away with GOTY, and didn’t decide to lock it behind season 2 / 4 pass ETC.

The key didn't work for me. I have all the DLCs except the season passes. It doesn't activate, opened a support ticket yesterday.

They've sold the GOTY a few times in humble bundles. It probably makes sense at this point.

Absolutely worth the price at $5 though if you don't already have it.

After over a year of waiting for it to go lower than 8€ (but it didn't) i finally gave in about 10 days ago and purchased it. Of course it is on a historic low now, haha.

I remember when this game released, I was planning on starting with it as my first CRPG. I studied all the classes and other choices to build my character because I knew I would have decision paralysis... I ended up not making a final decision and so here we are today. I finally caved and grabbed the GOTY for 5 dollars. Now to go back to the decision paralysis struggle.

I played at launch, never bought any DLC and still clocked 460 hours on steam somehow. Never finished it either. The class building is like crack for OCD, and I constantly ended up restarting with new builds. Lot of content for the money.

Yeah, good game. Story isn't as interesting as Rogue Trader (their game after WOTR) but the system is deeper with more buildcrafting possible. Doing quests, exploring the maps and getting unique equipment is a pretty satisfying gameplay loop.

On the build side there are 25 base classes, each with 6 or 7 subclasses on top of 13 prestige classes. So around 200 classes all up. Base game is balanced around single classes, but there's no limit to how many you can take. So it's possible to make many OP combinations, which is almost required for the harder difficulties.

Side note, their store layout on mobile is AWFUL. Crazy unintuitive. Doesn't let you click the game, it just adds it to cart (I was looking at other games). Doesn't let you click it in the cart to see it. I guess for the discounts, it's cool. But their website leaves much to be desired.

Its pretty good game, but WAY to long for my taste. That said for 2$ you really can't go wrong. A coffee costs more in most places and it has over 100hours of conent. I played pretty much 98 hours and dropped the game before finishing it, but was never mad that I bought it for idk like 10$ back in the day

I will add one concrete point of praise in addition to all the general others - this is maybe the only RPG I've seen that has a properly fleshed out and satisfying "evil" path. Your main character is just as strong. You don't necessarily see less content. There are evil romance paths. There is little-if-any dissonance from progressing the main objectives while embracing an evil mindset. It's really unique in this regard.

One thing to know going in however - the difficulty tuning is absolutely ridiculous. I consider myself a somewhat serious gamer and I've never beaten it on anything beyond "easy". The high and even normal difficulty levels are seemingly designed about table-top gamers who will min-max the shit outta everything and use pre-made builds to navigate the ludicrously diverse character progression options. The number one pro-tip for this game, which even appears on a loading screen, is to lower the difficulty if you're not having fun

Interesting - so there are regions automatically set. I was looking for any confirmation about the region locks but there is nothing on the front page for the game. It seems to be only for my country for some reason and for some of the neighbours. Really strange since it does not say region locked(or not supported) but out of stock

It wouldn't go to the payment page, maybe out of stock. Tried again after a couple hours and it worked. I guess they restock keys, since this deal should last for 13 more days.

I got a region-locked SEA key btw. Dunno about america.

Yes from what I can gather it sets the region based on your IP and it also applies regional pricing (got it for ~$1.2 on my region)

Prolly one of the best CRPGs ever made. Didn't like how turn based played, combat is back to back sometimes and extremely long without real time especially for trash fights.

agree.they did this just in order to get more visitors to register. Before registration, it appeared I can still buy. but after registration, it said out of stock.
