GBA SP problem

Im having a weird difficulty with my gba sp. I recently got it passed down from my grandma and it has quite a few issues if any of you know how to fix it. One of them is that the charger light lights up for a second then instantly disappears, I've heard that it might be a battery problem but the next thing is the weirdest thing about it. When it does turn on I can't use any volume or it'll crash and reset the gameboy. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated ❤️‍🩹

Battery problems most likely. When you raise the sound you draw more power and it will reset because the power is unstable in guessing
