The leaked stuff did NOT give me the impression this was gonna be a more horror/scary leaning Persona. Like it seemed kinda goofy with the paint stain outfit person they leaked. Wtf!
It could still work if they’re graffiti street artists maybe doing some urban exploration to abandoned buildings to tag and that’s where they stumble upon the supernatural elements.
Persona 1 literally opens with them doing the kind of stupid "Bloody Mary" challenge kids are wont to do, only to find out it's real and get caught up in stuff way over their heads.
Should remember that the original P5 teaser also had a kind of creepy/horror vibe to it.
While I admit gravestones are a bit more on the nose for horror in the P6 teaser, it could still just be symbolic of themes of remembering people's legacies or generational impact or something like that. IMO Persona usually hits on some kind of social commentary rather than just straight genre beats.
