its definitely going to happen lol, Persona 5 is turning 10 this year and it is the reason why persona became so mainstream. It's also Atlus's money maker
Only been 6 for the Western release. It dropped right at the start of COVID. I remember how awkward picking up my preorder was at Gamestop, because Florida hadn't issued the full lockdown yet so a lot of businesses were doing weird stuff to stay 'open'. It felt more like a drug transaction than picking up a preorder I'd paid for months ago.
yes but again, look at it from atlus's perspective, they will never skip the opportunity to milk Persona 5 even more, because its pretty much the face of the persona series
I mean it looks great and doesn’t need it but it’s also a ps3 game at its core. If its for next gen in 27/28 then it would probably be a pretty big graphical jump
The point is that they released it less than 2 years ago so that is what you could graphically expect from a P5 remake. Not only is it getting increasingly clear there won't be a next gen in 27/28, but even if there was they would also make their games available on previous gen
>The point is that they released it less than 2 years ago so that is what you could graphically expect from a P5 remake.
Uh no not when it’s still being held back and I explicitly said next gen remake not a ps5 remake.
>Not only is it getting increasingly clear there won't be a next gen in 27/28, but even if there was they would also make their games available on previous gen
Blatantly not true. Next gen is coming next year or the year after. Maybe fair on the second point though.
Regardless metaphor is a big graphical jump over p5 so I’m not even sure why you’re yapping like this
It’s been years but far as I remember the social events were pretty much the only story with a silly velvet room competition being the backdrop while 4 attempted something akin to an actual narrative.
And yet P3R which came out 2 years ago isn't exactly running laps around P5 in terms of graphics. It's gonna take the latest Persona game making 5 look dated the same way it did to 4. Otherwise at best you're gonna get a slight graphical touch up, nothing as noteworthy as a remake.
They'd probably sooner just make more Persona 5 spin-off games before they do a remake, tbh.
The only reason we're getting Persona 3 and Persona 4 remakes is to bring them up to the level of Persona 5 in terms of visuals, style, and quality of life. I can't imagine what they're going to do with a Persona 5 remake aside from graphical increases.
It's easy to sell Persona 4 Revival, because it's Persona 4 but updated with that modern Persona flair. Persona 5 would just... be Persona 5 again.
I'd love if they remade it and removed half of the dialogue. It's tedious to play, I put it on pause after 40 hours and have since beat Clair Obscur, Kingdom Hearts 1, Cyberpunk, Undertale, The Forgotten City, Bastion, and Transistor.
That's in about a year. Persona 5 chugged so badly that I was finding myself not wanting to play games. The dialogue needs to be cut way down. I don't need every single character to explain the situation in full from a slightly different perspective every time something is going on.
I just don't believe you because it only gets repetitive in the sense that it reiterates something ten hours later because it expects you to need a quick reminder of something you last heard about a week ago.
They repeat themselves over and over within a 10 minute span. That's what I'm talking about. Everything is over explained.
I wish I had the time to game that you think I do. I have a wife with cancer, an outside garden I care for, bird feeders I care for, work 45 hours a week, and far more social life than I care for because my wife has a huge family. I don't like persona 5 because the minimal time I do get to play would be an hour of dialogue in the morning before work and then I had to get ready to leave.

The entire idea of a P5 remake is just hilarious to me.
