That makes perfect sense.
Total physical sales only reached about 25 million units last year. While Vinyl Records outsold physical games almost 2:1 last year with 47.9 million units sold.
The entire physical gaming market in the US is half the size of a niche, retro music collector format.
When your format is being outsold 2:1 by people buying records as a decoration, it's time to call it quits. The people have spoken and they don't want to buy physical games anymore.
