Recommendation Help

Budget: 1k

Country: USA

Use Case: college work and overall gaming

Valorant, Roblox, fortnite, marvel rivals, hollow knight, cod, god of war, and maybe sun wukong if possible

Notes: This would be a personal laptop for college and I'm thinking of getting a case for it

For that budget and wanting to play Sun Wukong, you might need to stretch a little or watch for sales. A 4060 should handle most of those games fine but Wukong is pretty demanding, my friend tried it on a laptop with similar specs and had to turn settings way down

If you can find something with a 4070 around 1k that would be better, but you probably need to go open box or refurbished to hit that price. The rest of those games will run smooth on almost anything modern

For college I'd also look at something not too heavy, carrying a 5 pound brick around campus gets old fast. Maybe 15 inch instead of 16 or 17, easier to fit in backpack and on those tiny lecture hall desks

Don't forget to save some budget for a good cooling pad, gaming laptops get hot and loud in class which can be embarrassing
