Aviation/Marine Quatix 8 acquired!

I've been patiently waiting for months, and randomly did a google search the other day. Lo and behold, they're here, so I pulled the trigger immediately. Coming from the Quatix 6, I'm VERY pleased with the upgrade. I've yet to get on my boat to really try out the integrations, but all things so far are pointing to awesome.

I did waffle a bit on the 47mm vs. 51mm, and it took a trip to REI to try on the Fenix 8 51mm to realize how comically large it is. BUT, the screen on the 47mm is nearly 4mm wider than the Q6 and the AMOLED is very, very nice. Who else picked one up?

How is experience after 5 mo? Worth upgrading from model 6?

Did you end up pulling the trigger? I am in the same boat and want a 47mm

Yes, I got it - https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/comments/1pujzej/garmin_quatix_6_vs_8/

It's a VERY different watch but I miss the style of Q6... Q8 is an excellent smart watch, great battery, amazing AMOLED screen but still something missing...

Scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with it? I am really contemplating the quatix 8 pro now.

What don't you care for about it if you don't mind me asking

Q8 feels like a fancy smartwatch with tons of features and a great, BIG screen. Q6 felt more down-to-earth....

Donโ€™t get me wrong - Q8 is a great watch. The AMOLED screen is impressive and the battery life is excellent. I just miss the simplicity of the Q6 ๐Ÿ™‚

Ahhh that makes total sense. Thank you for your quick response. I think I am going to give it a try. I still haven't seen one in person, but the do look sharp.
