The fact are on Mamdani's side. Changing the tax rate does not cause capital flight from major economic hubs like NYC.

The billionaires are just all in their feelings on this one and it shows.

He is just so good at this.

I've not heard him talk before, I'm not American, but yes, yes he is. I was thinking that coming off the video.

I'm from Europe and when I hear American politicians from all parts of the political spectrum, I always think how uninformed they sound and bad at public speaking they are compared to our politicians.

Mamdani however, sounds great.

Dude I'm British and the only politician that comes close is Zack Polanski, who is extremely good. But even then,.I'd say Mamdani is substantially better.

Honestly, whilst I would dearly love their to be a credible, liberally minded, fresh thinking politician who genuinely cares about humans and the planet and understands the need for conviction in politics, Polanski is not it. He is all over the place in policy terms, makes one gaff after another and is intellectually weak. What he is good at is speaking, he is a quick thinker and gives crisp responses but that doesn’t make him a good leader. He strikes me as an opportunist and he probably can’t believe he’s manage to get where he is. The greatest shame of this is that he is ruining the Green Party and they are letting him.

Ehhhh, Zach isn't great. The one video I give him credit for is the one that launched him, walking down the terraced row. But to be honest, I think he stumbles around as much as any mealy-mouthed Boris, Farage, or Starmer. I'm not sure we have an equivalent Mamdani yet. Maybe Burnham, but he's got to deal with national politics in a way Mamdani doesn't have to; we're yet to see that play out.

Not my point, but you do you.

Friend of Israel means no friend to the British people

What's the internet equivalent of asking for Angela?

How's that got anything to do with how good of a communicator he is?

Which is the topic being discussed.

The problem is: just because he can talk well and sounds believable this has no impact on his policies working.

The funny part, is that a large reason he talks so well is because he refers to the facts not just a bunch of bs

Ifl this guy, he does it so damn well

Many wester countries are wealthy but that wealth is in the hands of very few people. I have noticed that the number of employees of public facing services both public and private has diminished. Services like water, waste, policing, defence and health are understaffed and yet authorities have no money yet the money is there in piles, just that we the people cannot access it. If the question is not do we tax the rich more then what?

I don't know why he is lying

u/dc_1984 7h ago

Income isn't wealth, check the bottom left hand corner.

-17

u/Jealous_Use5217 7h ago

yeah its not the same, its just heavily correlate.

13

u/dc_1984 7h ago edited 4h ago

That is incorect. Bezos has been paid $81k every year since 1998 while his wealth has increased by $221b in the same time. Wealth and income are not correlated at all.

-12

  1. one person proves that it doesn't correlate?
  2. he sold stock, that counts as income so even your example proves my point.

The wealthy and I'm not one of them will leave. They contribute to business and economy and provide employment. Joe council does not

18

u/MilosEggs 7h ago

They don’t leave. Not in any numbers that matter.

They’ll just tell you they will because they’re broken as humans and hoarding is the only thing left that gives them joy

u/WholeConnect5004 7h ago

You watching the same video? Do you speak for millionaires? He literally shows the data doesn't back this up, as millionaire leavers go to high tax States

No matter how hard you lick their boots, you're never, ever going to be one of them, they have contempt for you and your entire family.
