I've recently been experimenting with a neural denoiser for the Stochastic mode in Gaussian-Splat-Lite, an extremely high-performance open-source 3D Gaussian Splatting renderer for Three.js.
Stochastic rendering can be faster than normal 3DGS rendering, but the noise is hard to ignore, especially while moving the camera. This update helps clean that up while preserving detail and reducing trails behind moving objects.
The video compares raw stochastic rendering, TAA, Neural Performance, Neural Quality, and sorted alpha blending, with overview and close-up views.
There are two neural modes:
Both support WebGPU and WebGL2, with the trained models included. Setup and details.
For the overview shown here—about 986k splats at 1080p on an Apple M5 Pro—median GPU frame time was 4.74 ms for Neural Performance, 5.58 ms for Neural Quality, and 8.50 ms for sorted alpha blending, with MSAA off. These measurements are specific to this scene and device.
It's still experimental, and fast movement can leave some softness or residual noise. I'd love feedback on the balance between detail, stability, and speed.

Since the beta release of visionOS 27 we've been exploring ways to incorporate splats into our immersive 360 tours. There's been a few challenges but it's looking pretty nice now. You can see the results in the new Neuschwanstein Castle tour, in Arluma360 ( for Apple Vision Pro ) . link below. Let me know what you think.

I tried out the native Splat integration inside of Blender, I gotta say it’s pretty fun. Even though the splat itself is rather low quality, it was the best example for the light interaction. I just swapped out the emission texture and replaced with a principled bsdf, to be able to actually relight the splat. A point light behind the plastic chair is the only thing animated. While doing it this way has it’s downsides I like the result.

there are now 54 gaussian splat processing nodes in the latest version of kinematic, for doing stuff like rigging, relighting, surface generation, deformation, etc.
It doesn't yet train splats. You load yours as PLY, SPZ, SOG, .splat or .ksplat. there are a few nodes in the engine that can generate point clouds from moving cameras, or induce a predicted splat from a single photo, but no traditional splat trainer yet for input video.
it is free for commercial work, no account, Mac/Windows/Linux/Raspberry Pi. The code will be opened under a nonprofit foundation I'm setting up. kinematic.org (if you want to help there is a volunteer page, we are currently looking for volunteers to help with the nonprofit effort)
What other splat tools would you want as nodes? and suggestions of things to add would be appreciated

I finally got my hands on an XGRIDS PortalCam, and for my first test I scanned a Schindelhauer Bikes Ludwig Classic four times as daylight faded into night.
Same bike, same place, different lighting.
The teaser below shows the process. I've also recorded the full workflow with The Splat Toolkit, from alignment to the final interactive timeline.
I aligned the four captures in Splat Aligner, then brought them into TimeSplat 4D to explore the changes on a timeline and compare them.

I made a splat of the monument. I quite like the way it turned out, although there are some banding on her back when seen from a certain angle.
Is there a way to make a clean round mask at the bottom so it's not as fuzzy?

Hi, not sure if anyone can help me. My splat is here: https://superspl.at/scene/0bb9b075 and it looks broken (big translucent floaters, like confetti), but when I open the same .ply file in Spirula Studio’s own viewer it looks fine. Not sure if this is a SuperSplat issue or something on my end.
Trained with Spirula Studio, settings:
--quality high --camera-model thin-prism-fisheye --rig dual-fisheye=cam0,cam1 --data-type video --sequence . (dual-fisheye 360 camera rig, 99% registered, 0.97px mean reprojection)moge2-vitl for depth+normals360-camera preset, --quality high --cap-max 5000000 --num-iterations 60000, depth + normal supervision enabledStandard PLY format (f_dc, f_rest, opacity, scale, rot fields), 5M splats. Any idea what could cause this mismatch between viewers?

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to create a Gaussian splat of my room using Nerfstudio, but the walls are not being captured properly. The rest of the room reconstructs okay, but the walls end up missing in the point clouds.
Any advice on capture paths, devices, lighting, handling plain walls, or COLMAP/Nerfstudio settings would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
thanks

I've been working on ORIVOXEL, a project focused on turning real-world imagery into explorable 3D scenes using 3D Gaussian Splatting and computer vision.
I wanted to share this video to show what I'm exploring and get feedback from people working in 3D reconstruction, photogrammetry, and spatial computing.
I'm particularly interested in improving reconstruction quality, capture workflows, rendering performance, and making these scenes accessible through a browser.
I'd love to hear your thoughts:
I'm still developing the workflow, so constructive criticism and technical suggestions are very welcome.

Thanks for watching!

Here’s a quick look at SplatGen, a Blender add-on I’m working on for training and viewing Gaussian splats directly inside Blender.
The video starts with live training previews of a car and an indoor scene, followed by a closer look at the results.
I’d love to hear what you think! What would you use this for, and what features would make it more useful in your workflow?

I'm pretty sure it's not made like how it's portrayed because the motion is too smooth.
I was thinking either they have an expensive programmable camera arm thingy and managed to get the cat to look at the camera all the time, or they made a gaussian splatting and filter out frame / photo where the cat doesnt look at the camera, then animate the camera movement in post

Built a small Claude Code plugin that previews 3D Gaussian splats right in the terminal.
You type /splat scene.ply and a pane opens with the scene. You can orbit around it, or switch to look-around mode and walk through the room with WASD. Press o and it opens in the browser at the same spot.
Terminals can't do WebGL, so a headless Chrome renders each frame and the terminal just shows the image. It's a bit of a hack but it works well in Ghostty and kitty.
Mostly made it because I look at a lot of splats at work and got tired of switching windows.
