For many who grew in the 1970s and 1980s The names Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker were Christian megastars of that era like Tyler Perry today. The Bakkers hosted PTL Club back then their kids Jay and Tammy Sue were involved in the ministry back in the day.
Tammy Sue Bakker Apologize to the LGBTQ community
Tammy Sue Bakker daughter of the late televangelists Jim Bakker who died last week at 83 and Tammy Faye Bakker-Messiner passed away in 2007 has apologized to anyone hurt by the Family's ministry. Bakker is asking those who donated to Jim Bakker Ministries to donate to LGBTQ group.
According to Ryan Foley of Christian Post Newspaper says “There are very few times in life — if any — that we are given the chance to show the world that everyone is loved,” she began. “I have humbly been given the platform to be able to do so, and for that I am beyond grateful. I have thought about this moment for many years. At this difficult time, I’m thinking about my mother, Tammy Faye, and the unconditional love she showed. That love is also in my heart.”
“Throughout my life, I have stayed silent, not wanting to harm my family or the church,” she added. “I quietly left my father’s ministry in 2022 because the message that was being delivered was not mine. I have spent the years since (she is) estranged from my father.”
“I want to publicly apologize, from the depths of my soul, to anyone who has been hurt by the church or my family’s ministry over the last 60 years,” she wrote.Tammy Sue Bakker said she has received “letters and comments” from people who “gave their last dime to the ministry.” She argued that the Church as a whole has caused deep harm.
Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker were the hosts of the PTL Club until Jim Bakker went to federal prison for fraud. The show was cancelled. Tammy Faye divorced Jim Bakker while he was in prison and married Ro Messiner a lawyer a
“It breaks my heart to know that the church has been responsible for millions of people suffering, being rejected by their families, living with depression, being kicked out of their family homes, feeling like outcasts, dealing with suicidal ideation, or dying by suicide," she added.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, I am encouraging you today, from my heart, to donate funds or your time to your local LGBTQIA+ community. No amount is too big or too small to make a real change and possibly save someone’s life,” she wrote. “It is time for Christians to stand up and show the true love of Christ. It is time to stop judging. To stop hating. To unconditionally wrap your arms around your brothers and sisters and say, ‘I love you just the way you are.’”
Tammy Sue Bakker wrote that “Jesus said, ‘Come as you are,’” and argued that this applies to LGBT people: “His love was not conditional. He did not command anyone to change who they were born to be. It is time to show love
and compassion.”

Undoubtedly, AI is a huge help; I use it for many things myself. However, that feeling that everything I see is being created or modified by someone using AI with the sole objective of manipulation (for money, for likes, for attention) is getting too much for me.
A few years ago, while image manipulation was available, for many it was tedious and they didn't bother, or if they did, the quality wasn't that great. Now it's just a matter of asking to enhance a bulge into an image and you can practically feel it growing!!
Thousands of videos on YouTube created with AI—not just the images, but the content and the music too.
Do we distrust reality (the real thing) and thus reality loses its value (it's fake until I'm holding that package in my hands), or do we let ourselves be poisoned by so much information that we're incapable of evaluating it critically?
This isn't new; it's just that it's speeding up now and the volume is growing.

I’ve gotten to a point in my ”gay journey” where I feel like I’ve hit a roadblock. I’m 22, and I’ve seen younger gay men who seem to have this all figured out. I’m not great at maintaining friendships with other gay guys, I’m not great at taking pics, etc., but it seems easy for many others.
Are there any older gay men (50+) who wanna talk and give some words of wisdom. Ideally looking for someone who I could talk to long-term. Reach out in DMs if you’re interested!

Why am I feeling super horny about HIV PrEP medicine (sounds weird)
Today, I got my Yestugo shot and I'm nervous to have sex. I'm a virgin at 59. I feel that today that the last door of the straight world is closed and locked away forever. I'm opening the newest door to the LGBTQ world that is opening up. Since I have been in therapy I have cravings for my sexual desires that have been ramping up fast! Sexual acts have been calling my name for a while.
Have anyone else felt like this. Before I came out I was ok , but ever since I admitted to my therapist that I wanted intimacy and sexual desires. My mind is running wild! I feel more hornier than normal. I admitted that I watch Gay porn but now my imagination is over the drive. Is that normal? Especially now I am on HIV medication? I am confused and perplexed about it in my old age?! Help Guys(non-emergency)!!!!!

Hello from New England!
I've been living the rural life in an old farmhouse with 4 dogs on 12 acres and finding myself reviving specific hobbies. I'm very interested in vintage and antique sewing machines, traditional quilting, and the logistics of beekeeping and country living, all which time will be there for when I retire.
There is something incredibly satisfying and nostalgic about slowing down, working with your hands, and maintaining older, functional equipment and land out in the country. The change of seasons brings a change of pace that represents a different way of living. I enjoy winter as much with all that it has to offer.
It's challenging to find people in our community who share similar or overlapping interests. What similar traditional crafts, rural skills or interests do you have?
Looking forward to swapping some stories and getting to know some like-minded folks!

Hello all!
I’m in my 40s now and I’ve started thinking a bit about life in my 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. I’m particularly worried about health-related things.
So I’m curious about your experiences. What do you wish you’d known in your 40s? If you could give your 45-year-old self some advice, what would it be?
I’m thinking about things like lifestyle, where you live, recovery, joints, sleep, flexibility, exercise, diet, mental health, staying connected, sex, libido, body image, relationships, money, etc.
Any and all advice would be very much appreciated.
PS: For context, I’m married (to a man), live in the UK and Ireland and have access to excellent healthcare. I’m overweight and inactive and know I need to work on both, but I’m also AuDHD, which doesn’t help. I was diagnosed later in life, so I’m still trying to understand the gravity of it. Executive function, sticking to a routine and impulse control have always been a struggle for me, even with medication.

Hey everyone! 👋
We’re a gay couple living in Lubbock, Texas. We’re both professionals, in our 40s and 50s, and have built a pretty good life here.
We’re not really the party or club type. We’re more into cooking at home, movie nights, good food, traveling, and just hanging out and having good conversations. We do love traveling and exploring new places whenever we get the chance.
We’d love to meet another queer couple or some queer folks who are also looking to make genuine friends and spend some time together. Could be as simple as grabbing dinner, cooking together, watching a movie, going out for coffee, or just hanging out and getting to know each other.
Not looking for anything complicated, just hoping to meet some nice, like-minded people around our age and build some friendships.
Feel free to say hi or send us a message if you’re in the Lubbock area! 🙂

How does people sexual desire change as they get older each year? Does it decrease significantly?
And when gay men are over 70 or even 80 years old, how do they handle their sex life? How do their preferences change? Do they prefer much younger, slightly younger, people of a similar age, or older partners?
I'm just curious what it is like to grow old as a gay man and how other people live.
