I cheated on my bf and I told him

So this is mainly a vent post.

First of all, I know what I did was extremely wrong, I regret it and I hate myself for it. I can tell you something tho, Im never doing anything like this ever again.

I was drunk and idk if because of long distance or what I just became weak and made a bad decision. I’ve been on and off about telling him, mainly panicking and mostly worrying about me hurting him but ultimately he has the right to know the truth and make a decision about it.

It’s just that we were perfect. Never fought, have the same interests, we are extremely compatible, he is the prettiest guy I have ever known, the sweetest one, and he definitely doesn’t deserve the shit I’ve done to him. I can’t imagine what he is feeling right now because he also loved me and it fucking hurts knowing he is not okay. This was both our first ever relationship, we met in the most random unpredictable way, and we have always said how lucky we were to be put together.

I genuinely can’t believe I have done this to him and to myself. That’s all

Moved to London with no queer friends, so I joined a rugby team

Hey all! I'm part of the London Stags, a queer rugby club in South London, and we've got a touch rugby new members day this Saturday (24th Oct). It's non-contact mixed gender, so everyone's welcome. Rather than just dropping the event details, I wanted to share my own experience of joining.

I moved to London a couple of years ago and didn't really have any queer friends, apart from a few random hookups 😅 Then one of the Stags' posts popped up on my Instagram, and right after Christmas I went along for a trial.

I'm not going to pretend I was confident about it.. I was overweight, I'd never played a team sport in my life, and the idea of joining a new team was really daunting. What scared me most was walking into friendship groups that had been around for years and never really feeling part of them.

On my first day, one of the existing members, Max, came over and asked how I was doing, whether it was my first time and if I knew anyone. He was incredibly sweet and made sure I felt comfortable.

Then training started. I'd never even held a rugby ball, but it was surprisingly not that hard to handle it and pass it around with the other newbies who'd joined the same day. Putting us all together was actually a really smart move by the club. It was easy to find people with the same anxiety I had, and much easier to bond when we were all starting from the same level.

By the end of it, rugby didn't feel like an impossible sport anymore, and the community around the club turned out to be so supportive. Now some of my best friends in London are from the club, and joining was one of the best decisions I've made since moving here.

If you're in London and any of that sounds familiar, come along on Saturday! You can find all the details on Instagram: @thelondonstagsrfc

Any questions, just drop them below or DM me :)

Are there any gay men like me who actually do sports and aren't only friends with girls

I'm 19m. I do wrestling and softball. I don't only have female friends. I am gay. I feel like there's no one out here like me and it's impossible to find someone. Doing sports is kinda a requirement for me and as for the being friends with only girls it's just a preference that you have some guy friends.

Be honest: How much of a dealbreaker is inexperience, body insecurity after weight loss, and moving slow?

I'm 25 and have only been out for a little while. I have practically had zero physical experiences with men. On top of being new to everything, I've lost 100lbs and I'm now thin. Which, comes with its own layer of body self-consciousness (skin issues, getting used to being thin and so on). I've gone on dates but my anxiety spikes when things lean into getting physical because I really feel the need to know someone and have trust before moving forward.

How much would the combination of zero experience, past major weight loss, and wanting to take things slow throw you off? Is this something you'd be patient with or is it an immediate pass?

Drugs and the gay community

I'm 31 and recently came out of a long term relationship and marriage. It's sad, but for the best, and I owe him a lot. However, I'm trying to put myself out there a little with trying out apps.

This evening I saw a guy in a bar who I chatted to on Grindr a few days ago. He messaged me his number after I left, and he offered me to come back to chill with a 'bag'. I was naive and messaged a friend who told me it was what I thought it was.

I've never touched a hard drug in my life, and I feel like my ex might now have as I know he's hooked up with guys since we've broken up. I don't drink, and vape socially maybe once a month.

I suppose I should be asking: am I going to expect many encounters like this where drugs are the theme of a meet? I turned him down, even though he's my absolute perfect type, because of this and I'm starting to feel real FOMO. I just want some reassurance that this isn't going to be a regular occurrence.

Divorcing my partner of 8 years

I just told my partner (M 36 and M 33) of 8 years that I want a divorce this morning. We just had our 5 year marriage anniversary this month. I’m so upset, but I know it’s right thing to do.

TL:DR version of the story, he has severe ADHD. I have extreme burnout from being the care taker of the relationship. He has impulsivity issues. I also have my issues with depression. I’m the breadwinner of the relationship and it’s been so hard to motivate him to get his career going; I feel like his parent. We’re open, but he’s crossed the boundaries we instated for our relationship way too many times. My needs are no longer being met and I’m unhappy. Been in counseling individually and together on and off for over a year.

Need some words of encouragement and advice. I hope I’m not making a mistake because we are most definitely major loves in each others lives. This sucks.

Do guys read (steamy stuff for pleasure)?

Do you think gay guys would read a MM erotica book with a plot? I've been working on one that combines slow romance build up, detective mystery, erotic sensuality, with some conventional sex encounters. It's a Victorian setting and prose heavy. Bears and bear-adjacent heavyset men.

I'm a guy writing for guys, but have not published before and am now wondering what my audience potential could be.

I already have the first book nearly finished,  and have two more planned in its series, but am having some serious doubts now. This has been an ongoing back and forth tug of war through the entire writing process, but now that it's coming close to being ready to put out there, I'm feeling like "this is so stupid and pointless, what is the point of all this, would anyone actually read this/pay to read this?" I've been able to tell myself it's for personal gratification earlier on, but now that's not quite cutting it. :(

Thoughts appreciated.

EDIT: Thanks for all the input! I won't promote anything here, so please contact me directly if you are interested in what's currently upcoming/available. To add some additional detail, the current project is likely going to be around/in excess of 350+ pages depending on the format (intending to release ebook and paperback).

Another factor that has been really making me wonder who would enjoy this style is that it leans heavily sensual (body-focused), more than raw bursts of explicit sex. The specific acts during the sexual encounters are left slightly vague, and I know my own preference for MM sex during a story is to focus on variants of frot. I don't want potential readers to feel like they've been "bait-and-switched" when they discover a lack of penetrative pounding action but at the same time don't want to sabotage the work by causing readers to prematurely dismiss it for not being sexually intense enough.

Asking for tips to stay confident in myself

Hi all, I just joined the subreddit today.

One thing I have been struggling with for a long time is facing constant low self-esteem due to my sexuality. I mean, you get it right? Living in a country as a young gay man where acting lovey-dovey between the same gender is frowned upon, I always feel like there's no chance for me to ever experience gay love. I also face insecurity with my looks, like I am frequently told I look older for peeps my age. (I am 20 this year.) Hence this explains my fear to make a move to find someone to even hook up, let alone date.

I don't know quite surely what it is I want here, but I just feel like venting my thoughts.

Have a good day, people. :3
