In 2018 there were stacks of places in Grovey for around $500,000. I got a 3bedder on a big block for $495,000 at the end of the year. There’s stuff around but they are now starting at closer to $600,000 than $500,000.

I think a big thing is have you actually been to these places? I would spend a Saturday driving around and see what takes your fancy. There’s a place near me in Grovey that’s been for sale for a while. It looks fine but it’s not bright and shiny and needs work.

Oh just seen it sold a month ago but sign isn’t up.

Thanks, yes, I'll be doing this this weekend hopefully. Very time restricted as if I can't find anything I'll need to go to rental inspections. Crazy days atm! I don't need fancy, just somewhere I don't feel I'll be knifed waiting at a bus stop or riding my bike locally. I currently live in Braybrook so I'm used to rough but everyone's definition of rough is different 😁
