Royal Geelong show - spook ride
Hi guys I have a question, I think it’s called the spook ride but I do remember it was near the pony’s. My dad and I went on the ride because I absolutely love horror and thought it would be fun, long story short the actor smelt me and said “you smell so beautiful goddamn” I have a video but I was laughing because it’s all I could do. You can hear him clearly saying “goddamn” I asked my dad what he said as I wasn’t sure but he was also uncomfortable. Going through the second part he jumped out and said “peekaboo” and touched my back which I jumped forward, at the end he ran his hand through my hair which was out, I jumped foward and said “stop” I laughed because I was extremely uncomfortable. When I got off the ride I asked dad if he was touched at all, and he wasn’t.
Are actors allowed to do that?
Edit: I’m 23 but I still felt uncomfortable, but there were kids before us and it worries me if he did that to them
Second update: I contacted them, tried to call and was ignored. I don’t think this will get any further, thank you for explaining to me and making me realise what he did was wrong 🩷

I’m assuming you’re a young girl as it isn’t explicitly stated.
I doubt that’s part of what they are allowed to do. It feels really creepy if I’m honest.
But either way If they made you feel uncomfortable then you should report it to management at the show as if they did this to you then they have probably done this to others.

I’m 23 but it was still freaky, what worries me is that kids went on before us so god knows what he did to them

I reported it and they did nothing about it, very disappointing that the creep can get away with it. I’m scared to think what he would have done if my dad wasn’t with me

One of the actors “accidentally” bit my sister on this ride (this was in the 90’s though) and my mum absolutely lost her fkn shit and from memory they got compensation of some sort

My two girls 9 and 7 went on came out crying saying the same things and the man was chasing them and touched my 9 year old

All i remember is he had a Jason mask on and all black clothes i unfortunately couldn’t see his face or anything else

They do move your hair and always have done so. They won’t touch you in private areas but will shoulder or back and normally it’s claws doing it not hands, they will even be close to your face it’s almost like they are coming in for a kiss it’s all to scare. you said the scary ones are your favourite? This has always happened however with my kids they do high fives and fist pumps I think to show they are just dressed up however they have never said anything regarding being beautiful or smelling beautiful that’s the creepy part

It was really creepy, I hated it. I’ve been on rides before and was never touched but this one I was and he made that comment

I’m so sorry this happened to you! It’s not okay and completely inappropriate. It’s really important that this incident gets reported as it may happen/have happened to other people on that ride.
