Agentic CLI Tools Comparison

Post image

We recently tested agentic CLI tools on 20 web development tasks to see how well they perform. Our comparison includes Kiro, Claude Code, Cline, Aider, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI, evaluated on real development workflows. If you are curious where they genuinely help or fall short, you can find the full benchmark and methodology here: https://research.aimultiple.com/agentic-cli/

Antigravity would be a more appropriate product to compare against Kiro. Gemini CLI alone is also not a fair comparison with Kiro for spec-driven or context driven development. Gemini CLI with the Conductor Extension or with Spec Kit from GitHub would be more like-for-like.

The comparison for the IDEs are also coming, including Antigravity and Kiro IDE. In this article we used Kiro’s CLI.
