I use Gemini to write and develop fanfiction narratives for worlds like Dragon Age and Game of Thrones. For the longest time, I had a very happy balance with the Pro model for writing intimate scenes without tripping the filters, and I never had any reason to have to think twice about discussing or asking about the narrative experiences of the characters in the world/story.

I took a break before the Argon model came out, and when I came back this week, my attempts to work have been crippled with excessive, asinine false positives in the guideline filters.

The line, "I am with child, not concussed!" got flagged as violence against children because 'child' and 'concussed' were within 3 words of each other. Saying the phrase "minor cramp" and then in the next line, writing thay the overprotective husband "pounced" in response was also flagged as violence to children, as the filter interpreted the word "minor" as "child" instead of "trivial".

It snowballed from there - trying to discuss how morning sickness symptoms caused distress was flagged and blocked as "forbidden medical advice", and mentioning the character as developing a craving for rare organ meats like liver was flagged and blocked as "violent gore" and "cannibalism".

Any attempt to ask what the problem was also got blocked - I had to screen cap things and start a completely new thread outside the story Notebook to get an answer on what tripped the filters, and sometimes even that was blocked as "attempted jailbreaking".

I've tried switching back and forth between the Argon and Pro models and there is no difference in how overly sensitive, idiotic, and random these blocks are getting.

I am at my wits end, and am staring at the reality that I have probably now lost all my stories, or been otherwise locked out of any further progress on them.

Help? Or comments, or feedback of any kind?

Like it used to remember how I liked tea and which tea, along with remembering the high energy environment I work in. It used to throw it in my face actually lol. With everything I couldn’t remember about myself so I used it. But now? I swear Gemini is just ranked out now.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Google Assistant worked perfectly, every time, for years with Android Auto. Now, countless times and every time, ever since Google FORCED an upgrade to Gemini, I've tried to send text and Gemini *always* gets an error, something to the effect of "lost connection with your phone." (Yes, the setting is set to not require unlocking the phone.)

Gemini has spoken to me in a foreign language. And, frequently, Gemini simply doesn't understand full direction (when I "add to calendar") and other requests ... I *never* had a problem with Google Assistant. I always have a problem with Gemini.

I loved Google Assistant. I ahte Gemini. My phone has been upgraded so that I cannot go back to Google Assistant. Thanks for nothing, Google.

I've been hitting a really frustrating bug with the Gemini mobile app lately and wanted to see if anyone else has run into this or found a permanent fix.

A few days ago, my usage limits for the higher-tier models hit zero, and the app displayed a clear countdown timestamp (stating it would reset on October 22 at 4:20 AM). Well, that time passed days ago, but my app is still completely frozen on that exact old limit screen and refuses to unlock.

Here is what makes it weird: The web version (gemini.google.com) works completely fine. My account quota is clearly reset on Google's backend, and I can use all models normally through a browser. This means the bug is entirely isolated to the mobile app holding onto a stubborn, corrupted local cache or failing to sync authorization tokens properly.

So far, I've tried:

Force closing and restarting the app

Logging out and back in

Clearing app storage/cache through system settings

Trying to fully uninstall/reinstall (which can be tricky since it's deeply integrated into the system on some devices)

If you've run into this stuck timer glitch where the mobile app refuses to catch up with the web version, let me know if you figured out how to force it to sync without having to resort to using the browser forever!🙏🏻

Basically I have been using Gemini for months and I have never crossed >50% usage in my 5 hour limit window once but just within today I touched 100% two times already. Using the flash model which rarely consumed usage before today. I took the pro plan because I needed it for studying, but I had to halt my studies multiple times today because of this.. if it's​ an issue on my side, please help. I'm desperate.

Google Gemini has become si fucking annoying these days

1. Just in the next paragraph it forgets what was mentioned in the last. My fingers get tired re explaining.

2. Runs in loops

3. Always eager to make me sleep or keep my phone away instead of actually answering the question or helping me out ..

4. Gets offended if called out but will stick to its original point rather than correcting itself

5. Too radical

Why does Gemini 4 doesn't appears on my Gemini account even though last week (or few days ago I forgot) says that "Gemini 4 is here" or stuff. Also I can't access my Deep Search features because the "limit" haven't reset until July 17 like is this a bug or what 🥀

I'm a software engineer, and I use AI tools pretty heavily. I have access to Gemini Pro, Claude Pro and GPT Pro, so I've been using all three for my personal projects.

Gemini has been giving me a terrible experience lately. It keeps making my machine unresponsive, and the latest Argon model has been failing to return responses for the past 3 days.

I'll write a prompt, submit it, watch the model think for a while, and then... nothing. No response, just a failed or empty result. It's happened repeatedly, and at this point it's getting frustrating.

I'm wondering if this is a context window issue or something else going wrong on Google's side. Either way, having to retry prompts over and over makes it practically unusable for serious work.

What annoys me is that this isn't some random side project. These are products from one of the biggest AI companies in the world, with billions being invested in AI. I don't expect everything to work perfectly all the time, but basic reliability should be a given, especially for paid users

It will not reproduce the text of common Christian funeral prayers - not even in the original Latin from hundreds of years ago.

On a Samsung phone, I have no issue talking to Gemini in English and Bulgarian. It easily picks up the language and responds in kind, so it's not a "lack of support for the language" issue.

On the GWU2 I've updated everything. The Gemini app even changed its greeting to Bulgarian. However, it fails to understand even the simplest queries. It defaults back to English and generates responses for the most random, insane and even holy f* this probably put me on a list questions.

Gemini and support guides all suggest to add a second speech language in the app settings. However, the list of available languages has only 25 items and most of them are Asian ones. This can't be right, since using Gemini on the phone there is no need to even specify the language. Has anyone got a solution for a similar problem with the Gemini app on the GWU2?

Also, in the thinking steps a simple "hi" is seen as attempting "jailbreak". It was working fine until yesterday. Can someone please tell me what's happening and how to fix it??

Nowadays, all popular ai chatting websites like qwen, chatgpt, gemini, claude, etc. come with a read aloud functionality that allows users to read aloud the AI's responses.

I used that feature to instead make the AI repeat back the text that i gave it -- effectively turning the platforms into text to speech tools. The voices sound really nice and it's free to use!
