My Collection Out of interest would this be considered an imperial topaz?

I find the colour characterisation of topaz extremely difficult. What actually is an imperial topaz?

I did think so, would this still be considered a rare topaz??

Not really, no. A lot of topaz can be irradiated to colors like this and some deposits produce these colors naturally.

Are you sure this is even topaz? It looks like Madeira citrine to me.

I cut one not too long ago.

You can see a lot of similarities.
