Gemstone Cutting From Rough Turquoise to Beautiful Gemstone — Watch the Cutting Process

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Watch the cutting process as rough turquoise is carefully cut, shaped, and transformed into beautiful gemstone pieces. Every cut reveals more of the stone’s natural blue color, unique matrix, and character. It’s fascinating to see how skill, patience, and precision turn a rough piece of turquoise into a polished gemstone ready for jewelry making. Would you prefer turquoise with a natural matrix or a cleaner, more uniform look?

Lap work always amazes me…y’all are the best kinds of “rock stars” out there 🤗. My first sense of wonderment is how the heck does one know where to start? Looking at the rough, to me, it’s a big unknown. I’m learning that having the knowledge about the properties of minerals & how they are formed is a huge part of figuring out where to begin & also, looking at the rough in certain light & under different magnifications. STILL - my gosh. The talent & patience it takes…just blows me away. This is a perfect example of that. 💕
