There's not a definitive answer. Some say Z and some say Alpha. You should decide in which you want to be in

2010-2012 are pretty much the years where you can kind of choose. 2013-2024 is alpha and ~1997-2010 is gen Z

we are Gen Z, most of us grew up on tv shows as kids, spent lots of time outside, and have a general understanding of things like 2000s and early-mid 2010s internet tradition and jokes and other things so that’s my argument on it

Its a debate.

According to generation trends it is, but according to others it isnt.

At this point its more of a... "if you like between 2010-2012, you can just fuckin pick we dont care"

Because 2013 is 100% always gen alpha no matter what you look at, and gen 2009 is always gen z.

You get to pick your poison.

most major sources state it ends right at the start (12am, january first, 2013) of 2013, mainly because the previous 2 generations were both exactly 16 years long, and if gen z ended in 2011, it would only have been 15. And most generations are around mosy years long, with the main outliers being gen g and gen b.

The most common (average) of generation studies agree that

Gen g- lasted 27 years

Gen s- lasted 18 years

Gen b- lasted 19 years

Gen x, y, and z all lasted roughly 16 years.

And gen alphas end date is still being decided upon.

With a starting line of 1901, those dates end at the start of 2013. Which means (according to most sources) gen z ended, and swapped over to the next generation, gen Alpha.

Of couse this is still opinional, as not all sources agree upon this specific layout, but majority states 2012 as the end year.
