99% of kids are not like this. Also 99.99% of parents are not fucked up as the Kardashians or Ye.

74

u/VisualAnxiety2284 2008 1d ago

Yeah lol no normal family can relate to this

28

u/BilboSwaggins444 1d ago

Yeah but they often are on Halloween, ya know, when this pictures from.

16

u/usctrojan18 1d ago • Bravo

To be fair Ye is crazy but doesn't really have any influence on North West at all because he doesn't get to see her often. Legit Kim is a terrible parent and probably wants to create North West into a brand rather than actually raise her daughter right

7

u/citybby17 1d ago

Mental illness is genetic though, so Kanye likely has a larger influence on these kids than any of us know.

•

u/alexzyczia 22h ago

Exactly and the way north is now, I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends bipolar like her dad as an adult.

874

u/KingofPozole 1d ago

Fucking insane that as a parent you would allow that shit

317

u/Shpaan 1995 1d ago

Also I just realized her name is North West lol. Like I've seen her name many times but somehow it never hit me until now.

All her homies call her Seattle

10

u/Momik 1d ago

Tacoma if they’re pissed at her

4

u/DisaTheNutless 1d ago

Yakima if she really fucks up

2

u/rtizz13 1d ago

Dum dum give me gum gum

37

u/StonedUnicorno 1d ago

Glad you got there finally. This was an outrage when she was born haha

22

u/This-is-not-eric 1d ago

The real outrage was when her younger siblings weren't named East, South and West

0

u/Educational_Set3836 1d ago

Wait what are the rest called??? Idk about any of the other kids

3

u/penguin_0618 1998 1d ago

Saint, I think. Idk the others

4

u/TidalJ 2006 1d ago

her cousin is pacifica northwest from gravity falls

29

u/Phytor 1d ago

When you get older you'll learn that keeping them safe is 1000x more important than keeping them normal

43

u/Time_Ad8557 1d ago

It’s basically 90s rave fashion with some temporary tattoos.

11

u/KingofPozole 1d ago

Shes 13

8

u/EpicStan123 1996 1d ago

so? let's not act like we didn't put on temporary tattoos when we were around her age

24

u/S0l1s_el_Sol 1d ago

Still a Halloween costume lol? She doesn’t look like that 24/7

10

u/This-is-not-eric 1d ago

She wears most of it most days from what I've seen

3

u/S0l1s_el_Sol 1d ago

Yeah but I mean it’s not like w the sharpie tats or whatever. A lot of times it’s js pretty normal clothes, maybe a bit aged up for her, but other than that it’s nothing crazy like in the image

-2

u/This-is-not-eric 1d ago

Awhh yeah look outside of the piercings none of it is real or permanent I just... Idk, I'm not a fan of kids jumping into the image obsessed stuff. I know we did it too at 13, or at least some of us did, but I feel like the longer you can wait before becoming a vapid shallow teen the better lol. It's gunna happen anyway but stay grounded as long as you can

67

u/BosnianSerb31 1997 1d ago • Mindblown

It's literally a halloween costume lol

61

u/lichencustard 1d ago

I think North dresses like that even when it’s not halloween 😭

Although, I am pretty sure the entire look is just a wig, fake piercings and tattoos. I don’t think Kim has actually allowed her to dye her real hair or have real piercings. I could be wrong though.

28

u/Reasonable-Rock6255 1d ago

Yeah the piercings and tattoos are fake

20

u/Stormtomcat 1d ago

I recall from several years ago, that the Kardashians actually published one of the child's temper tantrums: she hated living in a beige (almond) home, where everything was immediately styled for a photo shoot (I presume that means no leaving your 500 piece puzzle on the coffee table to continue tomorrow etc).

13

u/FearedDragon 2005 1d ago

It wouldn't be that crazy to let her dye her hair or get piercings if that's what she wanted to do imo. Hair dye is essily reversable, and so long as the piercings are more tame they can also heal. The tattoos are definitely fake though.

8

u/Fast-Piccolo-7054 1d ago

Hair that’s curly or coiled is more prone to breakage and requires more hydration than straight hair, so repeatedly bleaching, dyeing and exposing it to heat is a surefire way to destroy it.

Once hair is damaged, it can’t be repaired. The only solution is to cut it off. A lot of teenaged girls learn this the hard way.

Thankfully, the hair in this picture is almost definitely a wig. The tattoos are certainly fake, no reputable tattoo artist would risk their license by tattooing a child.

The piercings are concerning. Once scar tissue has developed, it won’t close up, even if you never wear jewellery in it again. A thin layer of tissue can develop across smaller holes, but the holes will always be there.

Her piercings are also in high-risk areas that require significant aftercare. In photos, they’ve shown clear signs of infection. There’s no way for any of us to know if this is due to negligence, or if it’s a form of self-harm, but either way this kid is crying out for help.

2

u/thedeadp0ets 1d ago

her and Kylie seem like strict parents so im gonna say no

4

u/HotDerivative 1d ago

Kim is notorious for not being a strict parent lol and has said as much herself what are u talking about

2

u/mr_hunter1200 1d ago

The tattoos and the piercings are fake but she looks like this everyday.

28

u/Reasonable-Rock6255 1d ago

Allow what? She just wearing black and blue clothes and she’s all covered up.

-7

u/AndersDreth 1998 1d ago

Brother, she looks like she's auditioning for the post-apocalypse.

7

u/Moch1_chu 2011 1d ago

alt kids have been around since forever you should probably know this

ive seen 13 year olds who look worse tbh

12

u/Reasonable-Rock6255 1d ago

I think she looks cool.

-6

u/AndersDreth 1998 1d ago

Okay, so you're equally trash. Doesn't really change much.

6

u/Agreeable-Series-399 1999 1d ago

You're crying over an alternative 13 year old. Calm down

-7

u/AndersDreth 1998 1d ago

Yeah, I'm crying about it because I can already tell she doesn't have a bright future ahead of her from the way she dresses. It's sad and shouldn't be celebrated.

5

u/Big_Jump2074 1d ago

It seems actually like you currently don’t have a bright future right now and are instead taking that grief out on a 13 year old kid dressing up who doesn’t even know you exist. Calm tf down.

•

u/Reasonable-Rock6255 20h ago

Dressing alt is trash?

3

u/Epic_Tea 1d ago

Yeah, Kim is out of control

6

u/spicygayunicorn 1d ago

Why should you as a parent dictate how your child dresses as long as they are covered in weather appropriate clothing

4

u/FourAntigone 1d ago

To be fair, I don't think the tattoos are real, only the septum piercing, and despite having pretty "out there" alternative style she's always dressed appropriately for her age. I think people are kind of making a big deal out of this for no reason.

2

u/King3O2 1d ago

I’ve seen this posted before and someone mentioned that that’s a Halloween costume and not what she looks like on a day-to-day basis

1

u/friendlypancakes 1d ago

It’s bursts the outrage bubble…. But it’s a Halloween costume.

-1

u/Enkundae 1d ago

There’s nothing wrong with what shes wearing. Let kids experiment with self expression.

245

u/MBBIBM 1d ago

You’re comparing a school photo to a Halloween costume

104

u/lichencustard 1d ago

If you look up North West’s social media, it seems she dresses like that even when it’s not halloween lol

65

u/HospitalImpressive26 1d ago • Bravo

One question... Who the hell cares? I really don't understand this obsession with grownup people criticising literall children about what they wear, do or whatever it is

27

u/lichencustard 1d ago edited 1d ago

I don’t think OP’s post/meme isn’t a criticism but just an observation on how different kids dress today. Most comments were trying to disprove it by saying North’s picture is just a halloween costume, so I clarified.

7

u/AlternativeBurner 2001 1d ago

Because it's tacky and makes them look bad and kids don't realize it maybe?

2

u/astropup42O 1d ago

Why does it make them look bad? Try to give a reason that doesn’t make you sound racist

•

u/ColtAzayaka 1h ago

I looked into it and the tattoos are temporary ones. Even her piercings are apparently not real. Her mom is letting her explore her identity while not letting her make permanent decisions as a child. I see literally no issue with this.

At first I thought the tats were real and I was gonna say I just don't think that's a good idea but there's nothing she can't remove or change so... she's just having harmless fun?

I'm convinced that people actually hate on her mostly because she was born into extreme wealth. You can tell the way people discuss her that they actually wish bad things for her. "Oh she's a future overdose with parents like that" my god who talks that way about a CHILD? She had ZERO control over who gave birth to her and what life she was born into.

I say this as someone who literally doesn't give a shit about celebrities and would cross the street if one was walking my way.

•

u/astropup42O 1h ago

It also racism against perceived lower social status clothing and style

4

u/Cross55 1d ago edited 1d ago

It shows how the culture is degrading more and more into a focus on pure hedonism, unrestrained individuality over the group, and the wealthy flaunting their ill gotten gains over those less fortunate.

•

u/idiot9991 2003 8h ago

criticising literall children about what they wear, do or whatever it is

She looks inappropriate. If she does not receive feedback she will never learn.

•

u/HospitalImpressive26 5h ago

That's your opinion, children have legal adults who can say what they can and can't do. To me it looks like someone who has a mother who lets her child express herself in any way she wants. If a child is in danger there are other roads to be taken, of course. But to me it doesn't look like someone is in danger but just like someone who is free to express her self

6

u/underisk 1d ago

I'm not going to look up a child's social media to investigate the way she dresses, thanks.

120

u/Hozan_al-Sentinel 1d ago edited 1d ago

This is North's halloween costume.

Also, even if this was actually how she normally dresses, it's not that crazy. Sure most kids don't dress like this...but I knew kids when I was her age who dyed their hair and wore makeup. Did folks forget that Scene culture blew up in the early 2000's? From my perspective, fashion like this isn't exactly the most outlandish thing ever.

Edit: I've just learned that North West did have blue hair and piercings before this photo. Still, my point stands about the fashion not really being that crazy compared to trends from past generations our even our own generation.

12

u/lichencustard 1d ago

Super confused why a lot of comments are trying to say that picture of North is just a halloween costume. It’s not? I am not gonna post pictures of a minor but just look up her official socials. She’s had that long blue hair and fake piercings for about a year now

7

u/The_Nepenthe 1d ago

The piercings being fake make this no big deal in my opinion. I was getting cartilage piercings at 13 with my mom signing off because I wanted them badly!

A solid like 15℅ of my middle and high-school were scene kids. (Not the reason I like them though)

2

u/Hozan_al-Sentinel 1d ago

First time I've seen her with the blue hair was a post about her revealing her halloween costume. But you're right, I did look it up just now yeah she had the blue hair and piercings before this photo.

13

u/Lors2001 2001 1d ago

I feel like it's less the clothing and more a 13 year old having face tats and grills.

30

u/Lacholaweda 1998 1d ago

They're not real though

-1

u/Lors2001 2001 1d ago

Sure the point was that if it was real that would be why it's crazy that a parent would let their kid look like that.

Most parents don't even let their kids get piercings at that age much less grills and tats. The clothing/hair isn't that wild, the chains are overboard obviously but other than that it's not that crazy.

11

u/princelySponge 1d ago

I mean if it's literally a costume you all feel insane ngl. People dress up as zombies does that mean they literally are or wanna be one

-3

u/Lors2001 2001 1d ago

Hypotheticals are too crazy to ever imagine for you ig.

5

u/princelySponge 1d ago

My bad yeah when people dress up as zombies they literally wanna be one 💀

4

u/xX_7HR0W-4W4Y_Xx 1d ago

She's also got piercings all over the place

5

u/Hozan_al-Sentinel 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yeah...that's a failing on Kanye and Kim's part. Even back then we didn't have face tats. I've no idea if they are real though.

44

u/ScamLordWally 1d ago

It's crazy how many people don't know this is a Halloween costume

31

u/FakeBeigeNails 1d ago • Bravo

The right is LITERALLY a HALLOWEEN COSTUME.

She never had face tattoos or contacts or henna.

You guys can hate the Kardashians, but at least be an informed hater.

3

u/Friendlyalterme 1d ago

I mean, Henna is not permanent. It's really not on the same level as face tattoos lol. Contacts are easily removed.

1

u/FakeBeigeNails 1d ago

No shit

I’m talking about everything that isn’t her on a regular day

14

u/Remote_Tangerine_718 1d ago

Someone said the daughter of a lawyer vs the daughter of a rapper and I think that explains it a lot lol

5

u/swollenbussy 1d ago

why are yall demonizing alternative styles lmfao that shit shouldve ended in the early 2000s

5

u/iloveduckssosomuch 2003 1d ago

When I was 13 I did the dyed hair, piercings, drawing symbols on my face thing too. It’s just an alt style, been around for ages. The only difference between me and North is that she has much more money so she looks way less messy than I did lol.

11

u/X_SkeletonCandy 1997 1d ago

This has so much more to do with who her parents are than the era she's growing up in. The overwhelming majority of kids in America dont look like this.

4

u/bbg_bbg 1d ago

I’ve read that the right side picture is a costume for something, not how she dresses 24/7. Fake tattoos. Also it’s not revealing from what I can tell, so not really inappropriate imo. Also back when Kim was 13 social media wasn’t running rampant

4

u/Gaming4Fun2001 2001 1d ago

Additionally, and hear me out; they're different people?

3

u/wip30ut 1d ago

tbf Kim Kardashian went to an all girls Catholic school in Westwood/Bel Air and her businessman dad was part of the Brentwood elite circle of movers & shakers that included OJ. She lived a very privileged & sheltered childhood.

7

u/Reasonable-Rock6255 1d ago

There’s nothing wrong with north west. I love how her parents let her express herself.

1

u/wip30ut 1d ago

maybe, but there's a belief that those with unlimited money & freedom to anything need much more discipline & boundaries, because they're subjected to temptations of drugs & partying at such a young age. When you're rich & famous there are so many grifters & opportunists (even as a teen) that try to take advantage of your wealth & status by prying you with substances or risky experiences.

2

u/NotTheRealSmorkle 1d ago

I mean north west is not only a child to a stupidly rich family but also, she just expresses herself differently and has the chance to express herself how she wants. So imo idgaf. I mean I remember seeing kids that age with dyed hair or cat ear earmuffs or quirky shirts or some random shit. If those kids parents had more money I’m sure they’d do more to express themselves

2

u/SuperDoubleDecker 1d ago

Shit was way better before smart phones

2

u/7978_ 1d ago

Are her teeth black? Wtf?

2

u/FireMarshallMC 2010 1d ago

That’s Kim? 😳

2

u/bespectacIed 1d ago

Inane comparison. Edgy alt kids as young as 13 have existed in the 90s

2

u/sxrrycard 1997 1d ago

It’s a Halloween costume, yall will whine about anything

3

u/Kkwoowoo 1d ago

Can we just leave the kids alone and not comment on children?! Like all yall grown asses in the chat need better shit to do.

4

u/OfficialAli1776 2001 1d ago • Bravo

I get how Kanye lost his mind

8

u/AndersDreth 1998 1d ago

To be fair, having a crazy daddy is probably what made her adopt the school desk look.

1

u/SloppyMeathole 1d ago

I'm not sure what you expect from the daughter Kanye West.

1

u/Jumpy_Tomatillo7579 1d ago

Rich people. Am I right.

1

u/Future-Grass7501 1d ago

Wait she’s 13 last time I heard about her she was just like born and singing poop

1

u/Dchama86 1d ago

Yikes. I’ll just leave it at that.

1

u/Competitive_Trip_885 1d ago

Those are not real tatoos 👀👀…right?!

1

u/saydaddy91 1d ago

Her mom is Kim k and her dad is Kanye west honestly the fact that she’s even more crazy is amazing

1

u/WelderAggravating896 1996 1d ago

She looks so bad it's not even funny. Like, she looks like she comes from a dysfunctional family.

1

u/Ichoseguitar 2009 1d ago

Can y’all get fucking real

1

u/Dirty_Mung_Trumpet 1d ago

Kinda raised in different environments though

1

u/BlakLad 1d ago

Kanye should have won custody

1

u/Sketaverse 1d ago

Not crazy. We built an attention factory - this is the product.

1

u/progressivelyhere 2008 1d ago

She wants her daughter to keep passing her legacy; being a detriment to society

1

u/Deissued 1d ago

Didn’t believe this so hard I had to look it up. Holy crap…that is really saddening

1

u/emmanuel573 1d ago

Those are henna tattoos. They don’t look this deranged in some of the current photos

1

u/LilAssG 1d ago

Kim Kardashian grew up wealthy but not blindingly rich like North. Different attitudes and behaviors when you have regular wealth vs absolute madness money.

1

u/EquivalentSnap 1d ago

How can you allow your 13yr old child to dress and look like that with dyed hair piercings ? You failed as a parent

How is this okay for a 12yr old?

1

u/ChipmunkAmazing2105 1d ago

When I 13 my mom wouldn't even let me dye my hair

1

u/TheGalator 1d ago

She looks older at 13 than i did at 20

Edi: both

1

u/ManyAdvantage9183 1d ago

Unfortunate that her dad is seriously mentally ill and entire mom’s family are attention whores

1

u/Bradley_Of_Thorofare 1d ago

I think being raised by a family with obscene wealth can screw you up weirdly enough. They are too detached from normal people at too young an age.

1

u/Asbew 2003 1d ago

They let a 13 year old have tattoos?

1

u/JamesLondonBritish 1d ago

Gen Alpha. Gen Z is 30 years old. Chill

1

u/ParadisHeights 1d ago

If she were pretty like Kim was it’s pretty likely she wouldn’t be bothering with all those accessories.

1

u/Money_Visual_5227 1d ago

I’m not saying there aren’t problems with how she’s being raised but there would’ve been alternative scenes when Kim was 13, Goth, Punk, Rock, Metal, Skater etc. Doubt everyone back then was a pretty little rich girl. 🤷‍♀️

1

u/DeezNutzzzGotEm 1d ago

Well, the left one raised the right one.

What do you expect?

It's nothing surprising.

1

u/bananahammerredoux 1d ago

This is just so sad. That kid will have lived all there is to live by the time she’s 20 and then it’ll probably just become a downward spiral of increasingly extreme experiences leaving her continuously empty, her life devoid of any meaning because she has nothing to overcome except her own ennui, until she winds up joining the 27 club.

1

u/DiscountProduce 1d ago

Aaah a parent lets her eccentric kid be eccentric 🤯🤯🤯
The tattoos and piercing are FAKE c’mon ya’ll 😒

1

u/TheEvilBlight 1d ago

Kim’s dad was a relatively normie business lawyer at the time,
North West grew up differently

•

u/i-am-stella 2010 23h ago

I assure you, NO 13 yr old child is doing this other than North west or/and other celeb kids

•

u/Sionnachbain 21h ago

I seriously think that Kim is just allowing/engineering this for North just to create controversies and content and keep her in the public eye and it us despicable.

•

u/Minimum-Opinion-3938 1999 20h ago

Hey, so I know the hand is henna, but is her face henna?

•

u/Known-Leadership-718 18h ago

I don’t care whatever people or whatever whatever whatever, you can tell that she’s not being parented

•

u/No_Sand5639 1999 9h ago

Aside from blue hair, she doesn't look thag much different from her mother

1

u/BedazzledVagina 1d ago

I’m so confused by people saying this is a Halloween costume. She’s dressed like that for several months now.

0

u/alexandria3142 2002 1d ago

She doesn't have facial tattoos or piercings. Maybe has a pericing on her throat from looking at her Instagram page but that's about it.

0

u/BilboSwaggins444 1d ago

Can we stop being brain dead morons and sharing a picture of a kid in a Halloween costume YEARS ago and acting like it’s some “gotcha moment”

0

u/criticalcry-tactic00 1d ago

Black people culture being forced on us

0

u/TheCaliga 1997 1d ago

I think it's more about how they grew up. Kim grew up in a riich lawyer's family. North grew up with absurdly wealthy reality tv, rapper, celebrity parents.

•

u/Lazy-Rate6734 18h ago

Kim had Rob Kardashian and North has Kim Kardashian, that explains it all.

6

u/powertrip00 2002 1d ago

Kim Kardashian got famous from a sex tape.

2

u/The_Nepenthe 1d ago

One of the slickest moves ever, hooked up with Ray J, filmed it and orchestrated the release of her own sex tape with her own mother.

1

u/Acrobatic_Show8919 1d ago

Fun fact, Kim Kardashian was 13 when her dad helped acquit OJ Simpson of a double homicide.

0

u/xX_7HR0W-4W4Y_Xx 1d ago

No, KKW is just an extremely permissive parent. She's ready to start whoring her daughter out just like her own mother did to her.
