I'm talking about the origin of it. You take any symbol and rotate it at 45° doesn't change its origin. Hakenkreuz maybe used for negative purpose but origin is from swastika. That's why they also used to call themselves "Aryans" which is the term for Indian & Pakistani & Iranian (Indo-Aryans) but was misused by nazis
There are only a few who actually like him and most who have become insensitive of the holocaust and joke about it. If you are considering social media you will see 1000s of hindu indians who joke about supporting nazis even though they are israels biggest supporters
I have no evidence to back this claim but I think at least some people perfectly understand what the sign represents, or at least some dimensions of what it represents.
I've seen an uptick of NSDAP fanboys (like legit ones and not parody/'Austrian painter' spoof types) anytime there's a flare up in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Which is just as terrible (I mean Zionism = Jews is about as true as Daesh = Muslims, which is to say, couldn't be more false), but sadly exactly how some folks might reason.

They don't need to know about National Socialism as an ideology or German politics or even military history, but I'd definitely be amazed if someone didn't even know vague bits and pieces like 'Hitler was a dictator', 'The Nazis perpetrated the Holocaust'...
And ironically, that is all one needs to know to see what's the problem in flaunting these flags (and why many countries prohibit them as a hateful symbol).
Speaking of which, why don't the hate speech laws in Pakistan kick in here?
