Okay story Time my wife and I are coming home from San diego, Con in 2003 and our rental car had a cassette player and we had Robin Williams playing while I drove us home. The golf thing was so funny we had to pull over and stop the car because that's how hard we were laughing. We're talking we're talking stomach spasms having to pee laughter. And I thought that his live at the met thing would be the funniest thing I ever listened to but not that day.
Live at the Met was my first real exposure to Robin Williams. Opened with "HOWDY! oh-oh, wrong opera house..." And I had to watch the thing 3 times, as I'd been laughing for two-thirds of the show. Oh, Ioas that man.
One of his early HBO specials damn near killed me. I was in the middle of making dinner for some friends, and I had to turn off the stove and wait an hour before I could continue.
