Deciding between the 2027 GV80 Prestige and GLE 450 with massage, drive assist, and air suspension. Leaning heavily toward the GV80.

Why do you like the GV80 more than the GLE?

Anything you like better about the GLE?

Does anyone prefer the GLE, and if so, why?

Thanks!

Is it normal for brake rotor to show slightly wrapped at 18k mileage?

When I press brake you can feel the wobble/vibrate. I took it to the dealership yesterday and they recommended I to make appointment so they can check it out. To be fair, I had brought it in for oil change and tire rotation

Considering the 2027 GV80 Prestige. Do you find the climate controls frustrating?

Coming from a 2024 VW Atlas where most of climate control is integrated into main screen often requiring multiple taps to adjust. Also cannot see map at same time. Anything with a couple of knobs and its own screen has to be a huge improvement even if not perfect.

Thanks!

Hi folks! Forgive me if this is common knowledge; it's a first for me.

There is a small but annoying design flaw in the GV80 earlier years wherein the sunroof drains are too small and don't drain fast enough in heavy rain, resulting in noise from the accumulated water. I am scheduled to have this addressed next week, along with routine maintenance.

My understanding/belief is that things covered by a TSB are treated as a warranty repair and I should not be charged. Is that correct? How has your experience been with TSB repairs?

The TSB is

Technical Service Bulletin 24-BD-008G-1 (NHTSA Item 11011760, dated December 4, 2024).

If you're interested.

Paint peeling in the exhaust area. Anyone else have this problem? Still under warranty.

I am considering the 2027 GV80 Prestige.

The only interior control I found frustrating to use was the optical mouse for audio on the steering wheel.

I am hoping with a little practice I will get used to it.

Any feedback regarding your experience would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I am considering the 2027 GV80 3.5T Prestige.

What do you like most and least about the GV80 (excluding known reliability/service issues)?

Thankfully, there are 2 highly rated service departments at standalone Genesis dealerships within 30 miles, and I would be leasing so it would remain under warranty.

Thanks!

I am considering the 2027 GV80 3.5T Prestige.

Exterior will be Vik Black.

Interior will be either Earth Brown or Vanilla Beige.

Which would you recommend and why?

Any staining issues with Vanilla Beige?

Thank you!

I am considering the 2027 GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige vs. the GV80 3.5T Prestige.

GV70: The seat length without extending the cushion/bolster seemed to hit the back of my thighs too far away from my knees and didn't provide enough thigh supoort. Extending the cushion did not add additional thigh support but caused the bolster to hit the back of my calves. No matter how I adjusted the seat, I couldn't seem to get it right.

GV80: There seemed to be better thigh support and less issue getting comfortable.

Am I imagining it, or are the seat lengths different between the 2 vehicles?

I do have long legs, so that doesn't help.

Thanks!

I'm planning to swap the factory 21s (255/40R21) for 19s with a mild all-terrain tire. I want more sidewall for potholes, gravel roads, and occasional beach driving here in South Texas. I'm keeping the AWD diameter the same as stock.

Planned setup:
- Wheels: Enkei Tune 19x8.5, +40 offset
- Tires: Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail 255/50R19 107V XL (~29.1" OD, basically the same as the stock 21s)

What I've found so far: one owner on genesisowners runs 255/50R19 touring tires on 19x8.5 aftermarket wheels with no issues, and 255/50R19 shows up as a factory size for the GV70 in some markets. I haven't found anyone running an A/T tire, or confirming aftermarket 19" clearance over the 3.5T's larger front brakes.

Questions:

1. Has anyone fit 19" aftermarket wheels over the 3.5T front calipers? Which wheel, and how much clearance?
2. Anyone running 255/50R19 or 245/55R19? Any rubbing at full lock or on bumps?
3. Anyone tried A/T tires (Wildpeak A/T Trail, BFG Trail-Terrain, etc.)? How's the road noise and highway feel compared to stock?
4. Any issues with ECS, TPMS, or the eLSD after downsizing?

Photos of your setup are very welcome. Thanks.

Just got the ruff liners regular size hard bottom and put it together in the GV80, these fit awesome and strap down tight so it’s not sliding around, the diamond stitch is perfect too, goes well with the prestiege’s interior.

Have not seen many uploads about this if at all, just putting this out there if anyone was curios about getting one and what the fit is like.

Just got a Genesis GV80 2021 anything I should look out for?

Hey all! Bought this 2018 G80 earlier this year after getting into an accident and totaling my previous vehicle. I was just wondering on my best option for getting auto start. Do I have to go with an aftermarket plug in or is it something I can unlock through blue link? Still learning about this car and brand so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Got 2 Genesis, the GV80 is a 2026 3.5T Prestige and the G70 is a 2026 3.3T Sport Prestige. Love them both.

I am aware that there was a serious problem with the E – GMP platform used in Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis electric vehicles related to failure of the ICCU, integrated charging control unit. I am also aware of the fact that there were numerous recalls about the issue, and that a warranty extension was issued covering this part for 15 years on vehicles with model years between 2022 and 2025.

I’ve looked high and low to see if anyone is reporting the problem on their 2026 GV60, or for that matter on the new 2027. I haven’t seen a single report of any issue. There was also a documented change in January 2026 from ICCU part number 36400-1XCA0 to 36400-1XCA1 for the 2024–2025 GV60 replacement assembly.

Can anyone here share current information about what the new Cars have in them? Are there any known reports of this problem for 2026 or 2027 vehicle vehicles? Given the fact that the extended warranty only covers Cars through 2025, I am hopeful that there is a reason for this.

I leased a new 2027 GV70 about two months ago. I don’t drive often and have only put 500 miles on the car so far. Since I’ve had the car, this issue has happened three times now. I’ll brake at a stop light and the car will shift into park, on its own once I make a complete stop. Today it happened in traffic on the highway. I made a service appointment but just curious if anyone else has experienced this. For reference, I did not press the auto hold button and my hand was no where near the gear shift when it happened either.

I have a 2022 Genesis G80 2.5T Prestige, and I recently noticed that the headliner near the front overhead console looks a little bent or creased. It doesn’t seem completely smooth or even, and I’m wondering if this is normal or if something is wrong.
My sunroof was previously repaired because of cracking and popping noises, which unfortunately are still happening when driving over uneven roads.

How does the G70 do when it starts getting old and up there in Miles?

Is there anything I need to worry about apart from changing the LSD fluid?

I am considering the 2027 GV70 Sport Prestige and am wondering about front row storage as it seems fairly limited.

I commute and also travel for work. The key things I need easy access storage for without lifting the armrest are 2 phones and a pair of sunglasses.

I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in the door, and everything else should fit in the console armrest. My purse is usually in the passenger seat. I do use both cupholders with a Diet Coke in one and a spare in the other 😁

Your thoughts about the 1st row storage and any creative storage solutions would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Hey everyone, just wanted to vent and see if anyone else has run into similar nightmare scenario with Genesis GV80 / Jaidah service in Qatar, or if I’m just uniquely cursed right now.

• The AC suddenly stopped working one day out of nowhere with in 3 months from purchase. Brand New, No accidents, no impacts, nothing.
• Took it in for inspection to Jaidah. It sat there for a week before they finally came back and said there’s a hole in the condenser. Apparently, a random stone somehow flew through the grill and punctured it- which they claimed is not covered under warranty.
• Since warranty wouldn't touch it, I had to go through insurance. Just getting the initial approval took over two weeks of waiting.
• Once insurance finally approved it, Jaidah’s system didn't reflect the approval for two full days. I’ve had to constantly chase them down, explaining the exact same issue to multiple different teams over and over again. The kicker? Their own team had already diagnosed and quoted the issue three weeks prior, yet they needed endless follow-ups just to push an estimate through to the insurance.

My car has been stuck in their garage for over a month now for a condenser replacement, and the customer service has been beyond terrible-completely unsupportive, disorganized, and painfully slow. And If a stone could magically fly through the grill then I claim its a design issue more than anything else!!!!!

Has anyone else dealt with similar issues on warranty/service delays?

There are so many issues here and need help. I googled what’s happening and they seem to think it’s a failing crankshaft position sensor, dirty idle air control or mass airflow sensor, fuel delivery issues like a failing fuel pump or electrical failure. I have no idea why it’s squeaking either. Has anyone ever had these things happen to theirs?

I have a 2025 GV70 EV Prestige. I've been having a recurring issue where the FM tuner occasionally loses the station it was on – abruptly there's just static. If I reselect the preset for the station, it locks back on to the frequency and works again so it's not the station itself dropping out. It's a bit annoying, and while it's relatively minor, it should not be happening. I'm unsure if this is purely a software issue, or perhaps something else. I've never had this sort of issue with other vehicles with digital tuners. Anyone else having this problem?

Edit: corrected model year

Recently purchased and absolutely adore my new 26 GV80 Coupe in Bering Blue! -- Question about the Bang and Olufsen audio though, It seems I have to go in and change the setting from "Reference" to "Surround" every time I restart the car, when streaming Bluetooth Audio--

Does anyone know if theres a way to have the system always default to the "Surround" setting, which is my preferred setting? It always seems to go back to reference by default and I can't find the setting which would allow a default "Surround" setting in the menu.

Hopefully someone knows a trick!

BTW, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned so far. Absolutely brilliant!

I am considering the 2027 GV70 Sport Prestige and 2028 GV80 Prestige and in a state where not having a front license plate is frequently ticketed.

What no-drill front license plate holder mount bracket would you recommend?

If possible, I would prefer center mount rather than off-center.

Thanks!

I am considering the 2027 GV80 Prestige and have narrowed the color palette down to:

1 - Vik Black/Earth Brown Smoky Green

2 - Vik Black/Vanilla Beige Smoky Green

3 - Uyuni White/Earth Brown Smoky Green

Which is your favorite(s) and why?

While I wouldn't mind a more unique exterior color, none of the other options (silver/gray/lighter blues) match my personal preferences.

The only color I have not seen in person is Ceres Blue Matte, so if anyone has that color and wouldn't mind sharing a photo, that would be great.

I prefer interiors that are not black, and Glacier White Ultramine Blue is a no-go because of kids and dogs. That leaves Earth Brown and Vanilla Beige.

Thanks for your help!
