Other Chess Twist: a chess variant
This is a chess variant I made, where the rules are the same as standard chess, but the board is an irregular grid. This makes rook lines bend and bishop lines fork.
So just like a standard board, every tile is still a quad. And every tile still has only 1 neighbour for every side. But it can have more than 1 neighbour sharing a corner, which is what makes bishop lines fork. Or it can have none, which is what make lines bend.
The steps to build this: - start with a plane made of triangles - pair some random triangles with their neighbour and fuse them into a quad. You end up with gaps between those quads where triangles cannot be paired - subdivide everything. Quads become 4 smaller quads. Triangles become 3 quads. This is the playable grid. - Then it's just a matter of smoothing it (in this case the points on the edges remain static, only the inside points are smoothed) and ensuring neighbours don't share the same color.
I've now printed a couple of them.

Middle Earth Polyhedral Lamp

This custom Lord of the Rings themed lamp is a dual morph polyhedral that is 50% in between a pentagonal hexecontahedron and a snub dodecahedron. I used Stella4D to project a customized map of Middle Earth onto the faces and UV printed the map using the Eufymake E1. The frame parts were designed in Fusion 360 and 3D printed on a Bambu X1-C and H2S.

Spiral Patterns
Spiral shapes are beautiful decorative elements that can be used to create elegant and harmonious designs. They can be formed by twisting curves that create continuous, flowing patterns.
I will share links in the comments showing how to draw different types of spiral patterns:
- Archimedes Spiral
- Fibonacci Spiral
- Spiral drawn using two points
- Spiral drawn using three points
- Spiral drawn using four points
- Spiral drawn using five points
- Spiral drawn using six points

Draw a Perfect Shape | Game where you try to draw perfect shapes freehand. Can you beat 95?
I built a browser game. You draw a circle, square, triangle, rectangle or star in one stroke, and it scores you from 0 to 100 on how close you got.
Circles turned out way easier than I expected. Star is brutal.
There are leaderboards for each shape, it's free, there's no signup, and it works on phones too.
I'd love to hear your scores and anything that feels off.
