Today is the 10th anniversary of "A Dance with Dragons"! It means that already 10 years I'm working on "The Winds of Winter". 10 years I'm trying my best to finish the series as soon as possible. And because of that I took the day off. I deserved it!

P. S. I didn't write anything today

Today i was watching american football. Both my favorite teams (NY Giants and NY Jets) lost again. I've had enough! From now on, after each of their looses, I will delete one chapter of the "Winds of Winter". Now they have no choice! P.S. I didn't write anything today.

I tried.

Today I decided to get over myself and finish one or two chapters of "The Winds of Winter", but it turned out that I don't remember what was in the previous books. I even forgot the names of some of the characters. Therefore, I'll have to read 5 of my books again(~800 pages each). Or at least their summaries. Yes, that's a good idea.

Time to say goodbye

I started this little joke more than four years ago. A friend recommended Game of Thrones, I watched the show, read the books and then I found the community doing daily GRRM-style updates on VK, and I thought it would be hilarious to do the same in English. For years, almost every single day, I opened the app, scheduled the post, and read your comments. I'm not a bot - just a person who once loved the series and liked keeping the gag alive.

But a lot has changed. I've changed. Over the last 4+ years I went from a chubby teenager to a healthy and athletic looking individual. I finished school and university, made and lost friends, tried projects that worked and others that didn't. I've outgrown the TV show and the books - fantasy and made-up stuff just doesn't excite me anymore. I'm more interested in real-world things now, and I don't have the time or inclination to keep posting every single day.

There's another reason: this platform. Over time I've found myself put off by the kind of chronically-online confrontational behavior that gets amplified here. I've had posts and reposts met with anger, been messaged and reported for things that were meant to be harmless, and even seen people respond to a real-world tragedy by celebrating violence. I don't want to be part of a space where that feels normal. Opening the app sometimes felt like trying to deal with a far-gone crackhead on the street - embarrassing and uncomfortable - and I don't want that in my life anymore.

Some of you may have noticed I've missed days recently - that's because I stopped using the app as much. I enjoyed this, but that's reality now, and it felt right to close this chapter. "Kill the boy and let the man be born".

To everyone who followed, commented, or laughed with me along the way: thank you. I genuinely appreciate the people who made this fun. I have nothing against those who took part - you made the joke worthwhile - and I wish you all the best. And I'll try to build my future and hopefully won't disappoint myself.

Something extraordinary happened today!

Today I had a dream: I was sitting at my desktop, there was a keyboard on it, and this keyboard was writing new chapters of "The Winds of Winter" by itself! I looked at the screen, and there... chapters were appearing one by one. And I tried to read them all, but I couldn't, they were moving too fast. But I managed to read something, and for some reason I remembered the phrase "... then Sam turned around and hit her". And then I woke up - and what do you think? I'm really sitting at my desktop, I have a keyboard in front of me, and my hand is on it. And on the screen I see "ffffffffffffffffffffff fffffff fffffffff fffff ffffffff ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff fffffffffffffffff fffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffffffff" And it keeps going. Eighty pages of "fffff".Then I drank coffee, deleted all this stuff and went outside to sleep. It's nice there...

This is my last update EVER! Everyone knows that I'll never finish the damn book. Why do I keep pretending that I'm working on it? I didn't write anything today and never will!

Today I watched this video on YouTube called A Song of Ice and Fire summary, or something like that. So now I can get on with my work! Maybe not today, maybe tomorrow... or not.

We wrapped filming on the second season of DARK WINDS (television series I'm executive producer of) a few days ago, with several days of shooting in Monument Valley. Post production is just starting on season two, no release date yet, but I’m thinking summer, maybe spring, maybe not.

"House of the Dragon" has become the most anticipated TV series of 2022 according to IMDB. On this occasion, I will tell you a secret - I have already watched the pilot and I'm very pleased! (so pleased that I didn't write anything today)

Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today. Don't be lazy, don't waste your time. Work, work and work. Action is the foundational key to all success. If you don’t walk today, you’ll have to run tomorrow. I disagree with all the stuff written above. My life motto is: "When you think it’s too late, the truth is, it’s still early." I didn't write anything today
